This is what I did in Illinois. PCL Nursing Credit Evaluation from CGFNS. Each state has different proceudre (slightly more or less). Once your education is evaluated a report will be generated and forwarded to IDFPR (Illinois department of financial and professional regulation) its responsible for issuance of nursing licensce. Once you find out that you report is generated by CGFNS than you need fill another form from continentaltesting.net for professional nurse(RN) it works with IDFPR. Make sure you have your fingerprint scanned (for any criminal background checks) from an authorised agency. After filling the form at continentaltesting.net you are required to submit your fingerprint scan receipt by mail to continental testing. In the mean time you are required to register for NCLEX examination through NCLEX website. Once you register for examination all you need to do is wait for approval for your examination. Once you recive approval letter you are required to schedule an examination date online. You just need to select the date this time. Prepare hard for it then.

Hi, Nepalnnepali
I am also on the same boat as you. I have been in US for 2 months now and been hearing different stories and different qualifications for different states. I recently heard that newyork doesnt require english testing. I am not 100% sure though. Is there anyway to contact you so that we can tackle this issue together. I will help you with what i find and you can do the same. Let me know!!
Good luck

Since all the PCL nursing classes and texbook are in English you will be waived from english proficency; that happened to me. If not you can always use your TOEFL/IELTS score to substitue. You can PM me if you want to further discuss. Glad to know am being helpful. :)
