 Hello everyone,

I have a question about the GC process. My PERM was received on Oct  and approved on December. I am preparing to file the I-140 now.
I would like to know how long will it take I-140 to get approved. And when can I apply for I-485 and how long will it take for us from Nepal to get all the process done once I submit the I-140 and I-485. What will be my Priority Date for GC. Experienced people please help. Thanks.

Since you are in EB3, yout priority date as of this month is Feb 2006 which means your overall processing will take more than 6 years unless the priority gets changed in further years.

If you take my advice, see if there's a way you can apply for EB2. If you don't have a masters, then enroll in a masters class. You will finish the masters, apply for EB2 and get a GC through it before you get your GC via EB3. Make sure that your company will sponsor you for EB2 and the position you are/will be in qualifies.
