There's a different area in Sajha that is dedicated to Investment ideas. Click on "Other Discussions" link above and navigate to "Investment". I go there from time to time and read very insightful investment thoughts.

I believe this thread actually talked about solar stocks.

Higher high and higher low , lower high and lower low.....TRENDS ...but always account for variable changes which mother market might have in store
My opinion ( and an opinion only) ....a little lower than previous bottom as a stop loss as you are clearly in the red anyways...so why not risk some more if it breaks out just in case...
Now if you are planning to hold a couple of years then I really dont know what to say.....long term trading(investing) is not really my thing ...m just saying

I bet he is shorting the heck outta this stock and should have been for a while too cuz he is one of the big dogs on the street now... Setting aside the technicals here's a fundamental opinion I just watched his interview on squawk box , he was bullish on this sector in mid 2010. Back then the economy was slowly reviving or at least it was acting like it. The whole solar/alternative energy/ going green thing is okay when the economy is doing alright. There was a mention of subsidies in that sector making this whole sector bullish for a while. The stock rallied quite a bit too. But right now the economy is tanking, taking away the subsidies. Obama took off the going green from the table recently. One of the solar companies went bankrupt as you mentioned. Those are confirmations after confirmations that this stock is a SELL. Alternative energy is not yet cheaper than other forms of energy and specially when the economy is not doing well that sector will take a hit. It might have found a bottom but who knows.... until it starts an uptrend there is no confirmation and might be a false bottom like before..
