Now Im sure many of you had heard about Indian students being attacked in Melbourne, Australia which consequently led to the Indian government issuing travel warning against Australia and also Bollywood biggies speaking out on the attacks - Amitabh Bachchan being one of the biggest stars to talk about the issue. Well new reports state that a 30 year old Nepali student Bipin Shrestha was attacked in Sydney by two youths – Melenga Kanongataa, 19 and another unnamed 17-year old – beat him to the ground, punching his head and body, and stomped him when they got him there. Both the youths have been denied bail by a local court. This is the first incident when a Nepali student has been attacked. The motive behind the attack is still not known. I just hope this is just a one off incident and this wont become a trend for the thousands of Nepali or people of any background. Lets appreciate each other, learn from one another and mind our own business aswell.
