Try different Travel agencies; the best deal I got was 1230 round trip from Zen’s travel.

i called zen travel and they were saying more than 1800

travel agents are thug, its better u book online directly going to airlines website.

my friend got one for around $1600, she's leaving on the 25th, i guess it's cheaper in the 25th because it's a Christmas day

It's the last leg of the journey that makes the airtickets to Nepal so darn expensive. Because there are only few airlines that are allowed to come to Nepal, the seats are very limited.

It's mostly Nepal government's fault because they suppress competition and make it pricey and difficult for other airlines to serve Kathmandu airport. Afterall, they have to keep feeding that good-for-nothing white elephant now called Nepal Airlines.

Try flying via HongKong. I understand Dragon Air is resuming its service to Nepal, four times a week. Might be cheaper that way.
