BY OUR SENIOR POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT
In probably his first foreign trip outside India, Maoist Chairman Prachanda flies for Switzerland tomorrow to attend a conference of Socialist International in Geneva.
NC-D Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba flew for Switzerland Tuesday to attend the same conference.
Top Maoist leader Dr Baburam Bhattarai is also attending the conference.
Bhattarai flew for Norway Monday on the invitation of the Norwegian government to attend an international conference in Oslo.
Dr Bhattarai is expected to visit several other European countries.
"At the conference, we will say what we can do through our experience in conflict management and resolution."
"Nepal has shown a new path for conflict management and resolution," Maoist mouthpiece Janadesh quoted Dr Bhattarai as saying before departure.
Earlier, Prachanda and Bhattarai flew to India for the first time after returning home last year after staying underground for years in India from where they directed the people's war.
Meanwhile, Maoist leader Barsha Man Pun 'Ananta' is currently on an unannounced visit of China. Pun is the party's central committee member and Deputy Commander, below Prachanda, of the PLA.
China says it has contacts with Nepal's Maoists without maintaining formal ties with them.
