Unless you're going to get a Phd in AE, I don't see much value as far as jobs in the US. You'll probably have a better chance of finding a job with Soil Science.

Neither. Study chemistry or math for as long as you can until some college/ university hires you. At least with math, you can get a job anywhere. That i'll gurantee you. I'm a math major and I've turned down high profile jobs simply cuz I'm still a student. There's my advice. So get into one of those and once you're in, switch if you can to Math or Chemistry.
