Recently, my friend's green card was stolen. She was suppose to fly(out of US) yesterday, but due to the stolen green card she postponed her flight. how quick can she get a new green card? is there any way to expedite the process?

If you apply for a new green card you can get a temporary stamp in your passport when you submit the application for the green card. The stamp is good for travel for 6 months. I am not sure the procedure but you can go to the immigration office or make an appointment with INFOPASS to find out more.
