Hey guys and girls: Anyone here from LA?? I am planning to come to LA, next week. It would be nice to get some orientation from fellow Nepali. If possible would like to meet. It would be great if you are living around Torrance, LA. Get back to me if anyone knows someone living there or is living or have lived. AmriT

Gucha, I think you are staying in cheap area either in santa ana or HUntington Park area, then you do not see lots people who speak spanish. Dude try to move Irvine or South Orange County area, You will not find any spanish speaking ppl around there. Try to pay more and stay in good neighbourhood.

Torrance is a big city. There are good and bad areas in Torrance. Depending on that the rental prices could vary anywhere from $900 to $1500 for a 2 -bedroom apartment. There are lots of Nepali people in Torrance area and they are nice people too... ww.ansca.org and FON are the two popular samaaj in SoCal area. Cheers!

don't judge a book by its cover. los angeles metro is one of the biggest metros in the world. so there are plenty of good and bad areas here. this area has some of the safest and most dangerous places of all. yes, there are plenty of spanish speaking people. that does not mean you will not find people of your type. you will even find mexican heritage people who don't speak spanish. there are a lot of things to do in southern california. while this place is expensive, you will not regret your stay here. most of all, you will be amazed by the weather but distressed by the traffic.
