after talking to lots of nepalese people who are out side of the country, I conclude that the people disagree supporting the present nepalese movement for the following reasons. 1. Some of them already decided not to go back to nepal (Bidesh ko Nagarikata li sakeka haru) they really donot want to see the nepal being a successful country. They have a fear that if they have to regrete in future about their decision of being bideshi nagarik. so, to quinch that, they always throw out their fearness supporting the king. 2. Some of them left the country like more than 15 years ago. They were the one who enjoyed the panchayat era. So they are still dreaming of the panchayat and support the king. 3. Some of them are upper class/middle class people, who donot want to see a nepali ko chhora ruling the country from Singhdarbar. Please add more .... if you have some!!! cheers!

I think most people who have gone out want loktantra. Some of those whose fathers are Mr. Pyar or Mr. Karki etc do not want loktantra because they are sons and daughters of leeches and wanna remain leeches. I support full blown loktantra sans the king

Let me put my thoughts in point forms. 1) Loktantra is not a fight for nepal and nepalese. Its a fight thats favorable for Prachanda and his allies. 2) What Nepal needs right now is not more sher bahadurs and girija prasad. She needs more Dr. shyam and Eng. hari and business man Pawan. 3) A political change in the country will bring about a beneficial situation and oppotunity to a selected few. For the people who have to work hard to make ends meet, it does not matter who goes to Narayanhiti for oath of office and who does not. 4) People who have lived abroad have realized that. Its the work that changes a country's economy and future NOT WORDS. 5) Politics is a game of words and like the quality of the subject its very light and lifeless. 6) We are all talking about uprooting the present system of Nepal. We use statements like "250 yrs of corrupt royal regime should be uprooted." What we don't realize is that without a good substitution for this 250 yrs of "corrupt rule" we will be going back 300 years with the eradication of this system. 7) So we need a reform in the lives of the commoners, not in the government. So, loktantra or monarchy Nepal will see the same sun we don't have money to buy to good sunglasses to protect our eyes of the harmful U V rays, and my friends money is not a function of the type of government. So you tell me why should I support the Loktanra or ghanta tanra if I AM TO THNK FOR NEPAL AND NEPALESE?

I used to support the King for only one reason that he could stablise the nation & the peace will prevail. It seems now that The king can not maintain that prominent figure and present himself as a bond for unity. The Main reason for supporting the king was that he could check the balance between the different forces. It is proven wrong to keep in now because Nepalese people are able to check that balance by themself. The ultimate power should be with the people (if they can handle) not with the one person. But I still think, Democracy in our country came too early in 2046. at that time, we were not really able to handle that power. If we have got so called democracy on 2063 instead of 2046,the country definately would have prosper and wouldn't have all these troubles in the country. The democracy is for the people who could handle in a democratic way. Would Maoist let run the country on democratic norms ? I don't think so!!!!!!

i don't think its right for u to say people leaving abroad donot support loaktantra i think they are just scared that maoist may take advantage. And they are and they will .Lately i talked to folks back home .they are telling me that it might not be highly likely that maoist might take over.i don't know how far congress can defend them. This is called politics nice game by maoist.

I totally disagree with your li'l knowledge Mr. Harishchandra. I think you better do some solid research before you give your opinion. By hearing from someone someway you cannot elaborate your thesis vaguely. You should have known that "A little Knowledge is a dangerous thing". I do not have anything to argue with you but I felt pity about your opinions... that's all. So in future just think twice before you say something. And just a few words about what most of the people living in the U.S. want in their country-- As people have been able to see and directly use the privilege of Freedom of Speech and freedom of Press and lot more than that in this land of opportunity... You cannot (I think you do not have enough wisdom to think anyway???) imagine how much people are influenced and inspired to see and bring the same in Nepal.
