yeah, ive been following this website and so far it hasnt led me astray
its just that this particular item has been posted for over 12 hours on this site yet no mainstream news network seems to have picked it up and verified it
hence the worry that this might just be rumor
we know that ekantipur aint all that speedy, but 12 hours seems a long long time for such significant news, even for kantipur

Just to let you know, Umesh Ji doesn't buy news from agency like AP, xinuaha or Reuters. He has many friends and well-wishers all around the kingdom.Since, everyone know he looks after this website personally or may be with the help of few friends as claimed by karmarana. So, he gets the news from all aorund the kingdom from his friends or other bloggers or journalist or may be even relatives. And I believe this channel has been really instrumental in dissipating the news.
well someone might doubt the credibility of the news, as raised appropriately by le chef ... but i think at this hour of agitation no one is in a mood to spread the propangada. www.mysansar.com is good website for many people living outside of nepal. However I have heard from some people who know Mr Umesh that he's one big opportunist. I would think twice before i put my full trust in this person. No offence.

Umesh is the most credible on news about Nepal now.

Don't know how opportunist he is but for few months, he has been delivering the independent news which carries always the real facts and almost instantly, thats what i like.

Now I can also say how credible are the people who said that Mr. Umesh opportunist to Bhatbhateni?

.hmm, with regards to merosansar... to begin with, he the blogger says "यो पत्र सुर्खेतका सुरक्षाकर्मीले लेखेको दावी गरिएको छ। " so that means he is not claiming this to be 100% true but just that

all we know is a certain person read this letter out loud and he (not merosansar) claims this is true. so this is less of an issue of trusting merosansar.

the quesiton of authenticity of the letter, however, is a completely different matter.

mysansar.com is quite credible and independent so far. There was a video blog which highlighted the humanly and descent behaviour of an Army officer to the demonstrators and Umesh wrote about it as he saw it. Umesh ji deserves an applaud for this and so does the Army officer appearing in the video.

I think he is doing quite a good job..I appreciate the way he uploads any events instantly..like the video of royal proclaimation...it was there when no other site cud even upload what was said.

We dont know him personally so lets not get baised by other's perception , we gotta think about the credibility of other's perception too...Professionally he is superb, look at his hard work..at one moment he is taking footage of curfew affected area risking himself being in the middle of trouble and on the other hand he uploads it in no time...this is real dedication of his work.... yess he deserves a BRAVO.

.Umesh is doing a great job. Some of his article says that it is not 100% sure, however there are many videos and audio in his web and I think those are 100% true, coz cameras don't lie. I admire his courage and appreciate the job he is doing.

Merosansar is a one sided reporter.

At this junction of the revolution, the Maoist attack at Chautara is very significant but merosansar didn't even have one single word to say about it. It is being ignored as if it means nothing.

The rule of the maoist gun is not that far. The Nepali janata are sheeps who will just follow anyone who leads no questions asked.

At one time before this whole movement became big, I once asked few questions in merosansar which was contrary to the bloggers writings. And unfortunately, for someone fighting for a free democratic cause, my posting was deleted right away since it conflicted with his one sided reporting.

In the new Nepal, we need more reporters who report about both sides of the coin.

Yeah, any comment posted in his web blog that may raise a question about him, he removes immediately.. he cannot take up the criticism. That means he is doing propaganda !!!! One-sided means propoganda.

.lop-sided he is, but i don't think it is propaganda. to be propaganda, there has to be untruths there, which i don't see. by the way, he is not absolutely one-sided - he does have a video clip where he praises the army guy who lets the protestors go.

I think he is doing a good job. He is an Amature Journalist. He has warm blood, he is sharp on his criticism. He is not mature enough, by showing his Name and Address, his picture he is exposing himself to a lot of Danger. He is likely to face a lot of danger if he gets any kind of attention from the government.

I was shocked by his comments "Shree panch lai shree tin, Shree tin lai shree ek lounuparcha'. Well I believe he is welcoming a lot of danger to himself if he stands like this. He should take control on what he says because he is picking up a lot of attention in the net.

Well wish him, all the best and suggest him to watch his back. Warm blood is good for Journolism, the updates he posts are excellent.
