7 parties boycotted elections and requested others too to boycott elections. Fair enough. But there are people who want to participate actively in the polls. Some also want to be a candidate. There is nothing wrong with them. Of course, the number of candidates would have been lot more if the death threat from Maoists was not there. But when Maoists kill a candidate and are giving threats to the people, the 7 parties are surprisingly silent. What are they thinking and what kind of rule do they want?

In the past experiences, These 7 Nepalese political parties stand for..... (1) Leaders and party members’ only SELF interest. Not for country and future of people. (2) They stand to protect their corrupt and illegal properties and wealth. (3) They stand to protect their power and recognition. (4) They stand to protect those shelves by people and king punishment. (5) They stand to protect them shelves all corruption and crimes charges. (6) By all means that these political leaders and members are looking for safe heaven in the name of Democracy, Peace, Freedom and Human Rights. That is the key reason that they are screaming and creating problems in Nepal since 6 decades.

Killing of any individual is highly condemnable, be it a candidate or a royal soldier or a maoist rebel. Any election that does not address the issues of maoist and does not involve mass participation, is meaning less. When 7 political parties are boycotting the election and the maoists have publicly announced that they would not spare the candidates, why the king has to make it a personal ego and lead the country towards blood-shed? What 7 parties are supposed to do when the King is set to conduct the election and the maoists are set to thwart it by any means? In the current situation, those who want to participate in the election are only the slaves who want to give Royal governemnt the legitimate seal. Were the election to be fair and free, why some of the candidates were forced by Kamal Thapa led RPP to withdraw so that Kamal Thapa RPP candidates would be elected un-upposed? ------- From Kantipuronline.com Most of the persons elected unopposed are from Home Minister Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Some of the candidates said they withdrew their nominations following the pressure form the government faction of the RPP. "I was asked to withdraw the candidacy by some of the members of RPP," said Binod Bhatta, a candidate for Ward-3 of the Kathmandu Metropolis. - http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=63911

What use are elections if the politicians have no power to balance and check the King's power? The parliament will just be dissolved again when it suites.

Seven parties stand in the street. That's where Mahia Sahu and his personal army has chased them. If they had any brains, they will develop understanding with Maoists. Otherwise Mahila Sahu's goons will skin them alive.
