Holy cow, what an awesome movie. Especially the second scene. Damn! Really felt like I was reading a comic book. The movie presentation is much like Pulp Fiction, but I felt that the dialogues were much better than Pulp FIction. A definite guy flick. Women would probably not enjoy it as much. ****/****

Don't tell me you just watched it. :D Just kiddin'... Awesome movie, indeed. Let's not compare it to Pulp fiction but this movie really holds on its own. Especially the way it has been made, the movie looks just like the 'SinCity' comics by Frank Miller. Ma ni danga when I watched it. Have to watch it again. eh. Almost drooled over nancy.. :D So hot. eh. sp. when she does that dancin' on the stage, ooh baby... :D shoot, I am forgettin' the story of the movie... eh. and it's just been 10 days since I watched it... gotta watch it again... :S But I remember the line by Bruce Willis... eh.. somethig like "I feel like a guy who is trying to fix his brain with a pipe wrench" or something like that... lol... Nice movie... CAUTION: The movie is really graphic. of course, since it's based on graphic comics by Frank Miller.

Dunno, I thought there were more ironies in this movie than in Pulp Fiction, but hey that's just me. I personally thought the scene with Marv(the big badass, second scene) was the best.

another good one: "she smells like angels ought to smell" The whole movie was a dialogue-fest. Loved it!

le chef du nuit , thanks for letting us know about the end of the movie. :) If Bruce Willis had a choice, don't you think he would? hehe. I have never read the comic version, but I guess it should not be any prob. Ho ki ke ho. La ta aja lai bida pau. Namaskar.

Man, that ending was so ironic. Alright, *Don't read if you don't like spoilers*. What happens in the VERY BEGINNING is that Bruce Willis rescues a girl, Nancy, who's only 11, from a pedophile who happens to be the son of a famed US senator. Nancy's head gets so messed up after that incident that she develops a crush on her rescuer, Bruce Willis. She thinks she's in love with this man. Even Bruce Willis seems to love this girl, although he resists the temptation to bed her later on when he had the chance, as Le Chef du nuit mentioned. LOL, all he thinks about when he's in jail is Nancy. When she grows up the the character of Nancy is played by Jessica Alba, who's a stripper by profession. I can't quite sink my teeth into it, but this whole sh1t reeks of pedophilia. The good cop isn't that good. No character is *good* in that movie. LOL, and marv goes out on a killing spree after the hooker he has a one-night stand with is murdered, and he is framed for the murder. He's another psycho. Of the three main characters, Dwight seemed to be the most decent.

"do u mean by that? I thought majority of the 'guy' characters in the movie acted like saviours (good guys) except for the psycho characters like Kevin, senator's son etc." NO way! Anybody who punished people via the vigilante justice route is not "good" in my eyes. Did you see what marv did to the psychopath who liked to eat up his hooker victims and keep their heads for decorations? No hooker is "good" in my eyes. As I said, Dwight seemed to be a decent character, but even he doesn't mind spraying his foes with bullets like crazy. As for Bruce Willis' character, he is just weird. And he's attracted to a girl who he rescued when she was 11. And for 8 straight years he just thinks about her and nobody else. He's a few bricks short up there also! " I think, she respected & TRUSTED him" If you recall, Nancy says, to paraphrase, that for 8 years she's been thinking of nobody else but Bruce Willis' character. How exactly can you fall in love with somebody at 11? Let's psycho-analyze the plot for a second. What happens is that because she is rescued by Bruce Willis(the character is Hardegan or something), she is *NO DOUBT* grateful to this guy. But what we cannot forget is that psychologically speaking the only route for her to feel safe is to be close to Bruce Willis! When you're torment when you're a kid strange things can happen, trust me! That's the beauty of the whole movie. Lots of irony. And lots of depths and hidden messages. But yeah, I agree the movie was awesome!
