Two sets of foot prints, one, arriving; the other leaving. Frozen, sprinkled by falling snow. You stood there, at my steps; Waiting, longer than necessary, I see the deep grooves, the scuffle of impatient feet on broken ice; Thoughts unsure, insecurities abound, I waited for the soft knock, imagined the gentle flakes, Your eyelashes covered in melting ice, Icy breath breathing death. I waited, icicles to form, my heart to stone, my blood to ice my soul to race to the unknown. I waited, for you to knock, Yet you left as suddenly, as you came; leaving icy images at my door. like the whispers of thousand deaths, in my dreams. I was spared, I know not why the skies do not reveal their secrets, the flakes don't tell no tales, Yet, Death had passed me by!

Pranjali, I must say that's quite a first attempt. It was one of the best pieces I have read in a long long while. Really warmed this cold snowy day:). Thank you for writing such a nostalgic piece. "Farkera khojchu mera pailaharu Metiachan ti atit ka palharu Kun dobato-ma birayachu, aja samjhanna Khusi ko rastha, aja eklai dekhdina ..." AWESOME!

Shunyata My dance of death, within my sleep, Softly lulls, embraces it reaps; My death visits, smile on his face, Gentle, soothing, coaxing ways. Leading me softly, come hither looks, Leaving a trail of philosophical hooks; Whispering words of sweet nothings, Haunting melody, memory's fadings. No past, no future, lethargic present, A bottom- less pit, an endless tunnel; Humming a song-less sonata, Cosmic dancing, a Brahmic Shunyata! Hi Gurlu... long time no see.

WEATHER Does the sky match my overcast mind... Does it cast long shadows on yours? Do my eyes mist? Do they match the moisture in the air? Does my smile, flicker like the feeble sun... holding up the walls lest the dams break... enundating you with a flood of emotions long repressed by the tides of time....? Can you handle the crest and trough of my moody tsunami??????? I seem to be obsessing about the weather. First, we had snow/ sleet all night and day long and now the brightest sunlight! Thanks confused! Good one Mr. president!

Oh this last one is gr8. I thought I'd reply this way. Because I was never a poet, consider this a prose. Is this an invitation? To hold the flood of emotion. And could I be a guest of honour? coz I am also a loner from years, repressed as you happen to be why don't u then enundate me?? wish your moody tsunami sweep me away and push me together far all the way to the bed of the ocean of desire where both the soul catch the fire all the heat and all the sweat all your trough and all the crest I shall be holding them at ease do not step back now please there's in me the passion to hold up your emotion You hold the snowfall I will do the crest lets fancy this and it will be the best coz there's in me the passion and obsession to hold you and your emotions. ehh hhhe . kabita ko jawaf kabita ma dina khojeko matrai hi. milena kyaho.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments! I feel honored to be in midst of exemplary writers like you. It was the topic "Footprints" and the cold weather that got me into jotting down few lines last time. Few of my friends recently got married and I thought of dedicating this one to all the married couples (and soon to be married) out there. Whether you like it or not, I hope you will take your loved ones out for special dinner. "dandaima gunjyo" dandaima gunjyo, dholak ra sehanai besima jharyo, marsyangdi sussai behula ra behuli, swayamvar ma bhetda phute muskan gulafi, karke najar judda saguna boki janti aaya singari chori maitile gaya dinnam chori dukhiko gharma sukhi cha hamri choriko karma jantima pasyo, tharrako tato dine bhae chori, dihala chito katnu cha ajai, lakhure bhanjyang chori le garchin, belaima gharjam puran-path sake, puretle sabai dulahi bhaeen, sindurle ratai rasaya ankha, chori ra maitiko pagalyo mana, dulaha ra jantiko milyo ashish, ananta sukhako sajaya doli, safara jodiko dandaima surya, astayo sanjhaima jivan bagyo, khusiko ramjhamaima dandaima gunjyo, dholak ra sehanai besima jharyo, marsyangdi sussai dandaima gunjyo...

Loss Something about her immaculate art, Or is it just glowing in between from her fingernails? Full of memories laden head, Wet tear stained pillows, Smell of guilty Oleander in the humid air, The lost fragment of my soul lays motionless as in the air. Bushel of joy, Brush of thou hair, Good night's sleep with my new destiny, More than a dream? Glance through the stripped soul, Worn out and torn, With accumulated sorrows of sorrow. Unreasonable motion of waking up, Unquestionable image of provocation in the mirror. Breathing air feeling the gush of guilt, Rubbing hands: warm, annoying, moment of truth, Someone's been eating my psychedelic feast, Someone's been enjoying my loss. afnai post ma thiyo aba no reply !!!lol yahan rakhyo bhane padhlan lau aba..... hehe peace

o loved one! o hear o hear! wait no more on the icy glare for I shall doom in days so gloom waiting for the sky and star to bloom! Death will wait! for I do command! my rage and fire, will he withstand? plead shall I, with eyes on tears, dont take my love on deathly stairs! Far far away, my travelling tale riding breezing the snowy trail here I come! singing a song For you I wrote, riding along!! The verses in it say and say: my sweet little darling, come today and then if you wish to go away, tomorrow dead will come and stay! Making the gravel leap in air and I did crept down the stair then you came in, I heard you say my beloved one! are you there?? the icy image! for had you creep just outside you'd see me weep whispers of death, are you scared?? I shall come for if it dared! O falling snow! pass this to her for she does think she was spare and if you do, she has no load, "there's someone coming down the road"!!! "there's someone coming down the road"!!!

Ah but my beloved, I could have sworn, t'was no trick of the eye, nor the shadows of the moon. T'wasn't your soft footfall, nor your sturdy presence, the ghostly figure, had but one grating message. The cry of the raven, the flapping of wings, t'was no trick of the eye, nor the shadows of the moon. Where were you, when I needed you most, leaving concentric circles, frozen maze in the snow. Death is no stranger, to my vermillion door, with one final visit, I am broken to the core! He hey my favorite poet is byaaaaack! :) Newuser, can anyone beat your flights of fancy or the heights of your fantasy? :)

Those stars like snow-white oh wake up dear princess, eyes are marbleous even without the gift of sight! and yet so congregate blowing the wintry winds, nothing do compare, for your passion shall e'er live! final visit of death! will only come for me, not you my dear! I have prayed enough for thee!! come with me my love, in the wet woods come! O! come forth into the porch for a gentle east wind awaits you! and be my love in the rain, and sing me a song while raven will dance and the rose shattered eerily will bloom! today is the day I await, tomorrow will never come again, today I love you, tomorrow I may never love again!!!!

MUTE PEACE! Pray do not, misconstrue my chaos, like the flutterings of a butterfly caught fast in a web. Lazily, you watch as my wings come undone, legs torn, in bits and pieces. pigments and scales, scattered, shedding shimmering tears. And with a swipe, you pluck me off to free me, mauling my body from its breath. Pray, Remove your denial, My freedom needs no tyrant, My Silence speaks no PEACE! God bless Nepal!
