Hi Boston basi....

I am travelling to Boston first time may be on first week of Dec . Please inform me the best thing I can do over there in few days.
How difficult or expensive is the parking around the city?
Is there any Nepalese party or bhetghat during that time?
What are the good night clubs with Latin music (Salsa, Merengue...)?
Is there any good Nepali Restaurant?

Any particular information I should know to enjoy the trip?

Hope to see some of you guys there!!

Yatri.....

Hey jivan yatri, sorry nobody posted anything.....I just saw your thread. Parking is boston is pretty expensive...it varies from 10-30 or even more. Parking is very limited so make sure u go to the side streets. Boston will be really cold and full of snow in december so drive carefully.Bring your warm coats too hehe! It's not the best time to visit boston though....summer and fall are really pretty..but if u like snow that's fine! I am not sure about the nepali gatherings but u can check this website time to time.....I think they update time to time! "Sophia's" in fenway is pretty good for salsa! I don't think boston has any nepali restaurant....it sucks...but they do have three tibetan restaurants...I go there when I get a craving for momos...let me know if u are interested....but there are other great options if u prefer similar to nepali food...like "HELMAND" in cambridge is afgani restaurant...it's very similar to nepali and it's one of my favourite. Boston is really beautiful city to walk and enjoy. I love harvard square, downtown(especially boston common, newbury st(fancy shopping stores), North end (italian town) go get a mocha and tiramisu and yummy food there...good options. Cape cod (2 hrs. away) but it might not be that interesting in cape cod when it's snowing. Hope it helps...let me know if u are looking for other good restaurants!! Enjoy!

Hey Sweetiepie,

Thanks a lot for such a wonderful information. It seems there is really a parking problem. May be I can use local transportation (hope it is good) to go around. I will be staying in or around Prudential Center.
Well I am from south, so I really will enjoy snow, but offcourse driving may be difficult!
For sure I will be in Sophia's for atleast a night, SALSA atleast once a week keeps my tummy down.....ha haaaa.
I cant believe that in such a big nepalese community, there is not a single Nepalese restaurent..... well thats fine, I will consider places you mentioned.....momos.......yameeeeee ha haaaaaa.

Sweetiepie...
really a lot of thanks, before I thought every body in Boston got scare thinking I may ask a night or two of staying at thier home.......ha haaaa just kidding!

Jivan yatri

Boston as sweetiepie said is a beautiful city. When in Boston do as the Bostonians do, I mean take the T ( Train) to go around places.

Must See attractions:

Harvard Square,
Downtown Boston
North end of Boston (lots of Italian restuarants )
Fanuel Hall and Quincy market
A walk around charles river would be nice( but it may be cold in winter)
Museum of Fine arts of Boston and if you like symphony then go to see Boston pops.

Go to boston.com and I am sure you will find a lot of information.

If you need anything , Bsotnians are really nice , they will help you.

I hope that helps.

Have a great time in Boston.

Preeti R.

Jivanyatri,

I forgot to add, Bostonians are nice to you unless you tell them that you are a yankee fan. Hehe...so don't make that mistake.
