WOW! The Snow reminds me of boston's fiery winter. New Zealand also reminds of the movie LORD OF THE RINGS. What a beautiful picture!

It is believed that Kiwis took Rodhodendron to Christchurch for reasearch purpose at University Of Canterbury few decades ago, i heard. They have a place called ilam ( ILAM) , where the University is, in Christchurch, which is believed to have come from Nepal. I have heard that from Kiwis. Nice pics.

Dear R & M, I dont know the history of the whole rhododendron things. But in fact that picture is of the rhododendron from Ilam ( a suburb of Christchurch , ofcourse where the University of Canterbury is located). I clicked that pic in Ilam Garden, near to the univ. accomodation I live called Ilam Village. Cheers!!

A lot of the t.v. shows and movies like Zena and Lord of the Riings use the sceneries. Do the locals in New Zealand worry about skin cancer in summer ??
