You can wire the dollar amount from your bank account in US to bank account in Nepal. The bank in US wire sends(wire) the same dollar amount to the bank in Nepal using the swift code of the bank. The bank in Nepal converts the dollar to rupees according to it's exchange rate and deposit the amount in receiver account. The bank in US does not need to deal with exchange rate.

The above is correct. Do not send with local currency, rather send as dollars. Bank in Nepal will convert with good rates. As far as the amount is involved it is a huge sum so not sure other implications. I did 40K back in 2014 through same BoA and had no issues.
