Hello Friends,

I am travelling to Nepal in the end of june and I have 13 hour of transit in BKK(Bangkok airport). I would like to stay in the hotel: get some rest and shower.
Are there any hotels inside the airport?
If i need to go out of airport for staying in hotel, do i need a visa? If so, how easy is it to get visa?

Please share your experience.

Thanks for reading.

Nepali passport holders don't need transit visa to pass through Bangkok airport. But as you are staying there for more than 12 hours you are required to have one.

For hotels check this out

Thanks for the info. One more question - Do I need transit visa even if i stay inside the BKK airport and if transit time is more than 12 hours?? Aren't there any hotels inside the airport where i do not need to take any tension of visa stamping or departure fees. Just pay and stay at hotel.

Just check this out

You will need a transit visa if you are going to stay in airport for more than 12 hours. Having said that, you are often exempted from that if you travel all the way with the same airlines. In your case if you are using Thai or any Star Alliance member to travel from wherever you are now to Nepal via BKK, most probably you won't need transit visa even you are gonna stay there one hour extra. But you  must check it with your travel agent first.
