This is a complete nonsense. I strongly object the validity of the Nepalese Parliament proclammation. First, this parliament is not a elected body. It was reinstated on the basis of muscle power. It solely doesnot represent the spirit of Nepalese people.FEW HUNDRED THOUSANDS HOOLIGANS DO NOT REPRESENT 27 MILLION POPULATION OF NEPAL. If they have faith in people, they should have taken it to public voting. Is there anyone who dares? What a shame?

>>> First, this parliament is not a elected body. I thought they were elected few years back. >> > It was reinstated on the basis of muscle power. Yes, but not by bullets. >>> It solely doesnot represent the spirit of Nepalese people. Why are not people coming to protest it then? who are they afraid of? >>> FEW HUNDRED THOUSANDS HOOLIGANS DO NOT REPRESENT 27 MILLION POPULATION OF NEPAL. What about few thousands elites? do they represent 27 million people. >>> If they have faith in people, they should have taken it to public voting. Is there anyone who dares? What a shame? People are holding election not Royalties. Dare to face public voting? Ready for a fair bout? Shame on those who wanted unfair advantage of being above the law.

It is a illegitimate and unconstitutional govt. formed on the basis of Maoists backup. They had not informed or taken consent from the people for all the things they did today including the declaration of Nepal to be a secular state. Anyone having brains can guess it is Indians and Moriarty doing all this.

Proclamation illegal: Ganesh Raj Sharma By Bhola B Rana Kathmandu , 18 May: Senior advocate Ganesh Raj Sharma said a political proclamation being made by the House of Representatives is illegal, Shamakaleen reports. In an interview to BBC Nepali Service yesterday, constitution expert Sharma said when there was no revolution to throw away the constitution, he suggested not to make any declaration against the spirit of the constitution. He argued parliament functions under law. He warned the country will face a future crisis is a wrong convention is established to bypass the constitution. He said: "If political decisions are going to be taken through the use of force, another power tomorrow can overturn the decision." Sharma asked those calling for the rule of law to govern through the rule of law. He suggested amendments in the constitution instead of announcing a proclamation from the House of Representatives. He said the rule of law means to move within the parameters of the constitution. He said the leadership of the seven parties should be declared all-powerful if the constitution is to be bypassed. 'This House of Representatives is not the supreme body and it cannot do anything as it likes," The Himalayan Times quoted Attorney General Yagya Murti Banjade as saying. The Attorney General is the government's chief legal advisor. The newspaper reported Thursday: "He also questioned the legitimacy of the much-expected declaration of the House. "How can the declaration get legitimacy?'" "People will not accept autocracy from any quarter, Banjade said. "Unless the declaration is incorporated into the Constitution through amendment, how can we believe that it is part of the Constitution?" he asked the newspaper reported. Advocate Bhimarjun Acharya said that such a declaration of supremacy of the parliament is sheer violation of the rule of law. "This is nothing but undermining the rule of law and lacking in legitimacy," he said, adding that it amounted to nothing different from the "King's autocracy." Mr. Sharma is stupid, sorry to say. Anything made by man can be overturned, underturned, thrown up in air and down in wells. It can be something written on paper, or for the moment, just broadcast on TV. It is still part of the amendment... you just need to deal with it that way. In due course, the ad hoc amendment will be proclaimed into the constitution in written form. And yes, previous constitution is also brought in by force, not donated by the then king out of mercy. For Mr. Sharma I've one suggestion .. it is about time you have given up law degrees and go on a sanyas. Too old, you are:YUCK!

for any proclamation to pass there has to be peoples' verdict. They should come through elections and they should make it their election agenda so people can choose what they want. Who are these corrupt morons to impose whateven they want in the parliament which they should not be sitting in too. They were only elected to sit there till 2002. Did they make it their election campaign to bring all the changes which are not acceptable to a greater majority. Can they do all that without the mandate of the people? Does a mob shouting in the cities of Kathmandu comprising of a few thousand people REPRESENT THE TOTAL OR EVEN MAJORITY OF NEPALI POPULATION??? What was the reason behind doing all that without even taking consent of the people? India has a big hand in it and it is not good for Nepal.

Hahaha, what a shame! Mandales have hard time believing that Jana aandolan has taken place and people are happier now than during the looter Gyane's dictatorship. Go Mandales, go with your masters. Let Nepal be Nepal again, and let Nepalese people the masters of their own destiny, not you few elite morons whose only stake to power and privileges come because of birth or servitude. Practice accepting change and truth. That's all!!!

bineet, The mob shouting in KTM does represent the majority of Nepalis. If not, the koterie army would have wasted no time getting rid of them. Don't forget, they had in the past. You seem to follow a doctrine laid down by other countries. But don't forget, every thing written is done by humans and there are always unprecedented things humans may not have done. This revolution is not braught by a mob, but rather a majority of nepalese. so is the proclamation. Mr. Pyar Jung knew beforehand the proclamation was being presented, so did the king. Do you think they were just dumb asses looking at the TV when they should have arrested the PM and all? They should and they would but could not, because they knew, unlike you Bineet, that had they tried they could have been hanged in no time, yes this time in no time. The authencity is so vast of this proclamation, all foreign powers are also no more than a spectator. This is a "so:sphurta kranti" ----------

This proclamation is invalid and illegal. If there is no law in Nepal or if Girija does not follow constitution then why did he go to the palace to take oath. It is like them taking more absolute power than the King ever did. Yahyah Khan in Pakistan once declared " I Yahyah Khan hereby declare that any law in contravention to my order is null and void". Girija should do the same OR else he should demolish the parliament, go to elections, keep his projects as his campaigns in elections and come with the mandate of the people. Yes I agree that he should have the consent of the people. WE DO NOT WANT MOB RULE IN NEPAL. That is the most important thing for Nepal today.

Yes, birbhadra, they still have the money they looted from the state coffers. Much of it is already deposited in the Swiss bank but they are scattering a little to their servile dogs and some of them infest the sajha also. They have no courage to face the people, so are trying to poop in the virtual world. Beware, beware.....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- King will be a citizen after election of constituent assembly: Nepal -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Secretary of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the king will be made a citizen after the election to the constituent assembly and added that Thursday's proclamation was merely the beginning, the UML leader said series of declarations were yet to be made. Addressing a condolence meeting Friday at Nijgadh of Bara district, Nepal said the main tasks of the Government were the formation of an interim government and the election to the constituent assembly. Likewise, in a press meet at Simara airport Friday itself, the UML leader warned that those who defy the decisions made by the parliament will be left behind. He also called on the Maoists to immediately stop extortions, levying tax and abduction. Terming a remark made by Maoist politburo member Matrika Yadav that his party should lead the interim government as power hunger, Nepal said the issue of leadership of the interim government will be reached through consensus.
