The DC rally was very successful. Congratulations to everyone who organized it, and particularly to the many hundreds of people who took their Sunday to express themselves at this historic rally. Many came from hundreds of miles away -- a great demonstration of how important democracy is to people. It was peaceful, and a small handful of pro-king people even came and expressed themselves, but there was no harrasment and everyone was respectful. It was a great example of democracy in action.

A case of intellectual property (political) theft in Nepal
Suspected ?sleuths? this morning sneaked into the house of a prominent Nepali politician like thieves and, yes, did what a thief does. They stole the documents stored in the computer and walked away with some stuff printed in the leader?s house. That was not an ordinary case of theft. They didn?t steal household things. They stole intellectual property. So, this is a clear case of intellectual property theft with some criminal association. Well, the question arises, what the hell was that leader doing when thieves were stealing documents. Hm..good question. Narahari Acharya is in the police detention in Bhaktpur ever since Feb 1 royal takeover. And Mrs Acharya wasn?t in the home when the burglary took place. So, those ?IP thieves? did that all early in the morning when there was no one, except a caretaker who was held up inside the room, in the Acharya residence, Chandol, Maharajgunj.

Who is Narahari Acharya and why the thieves were interested in his digitized document (a word file)? Acharya is one of the few Nepali Congress central level leaders with a clean image and no corruption charges of any kind raised against him. He is a think tank within the party and regularly talks about various important matters including the national governing structure and role of monarchy in Nepal. Two years ago, he created a stir in national politics suggesting the possible policies that Nepali Congress could adopt regarding the role of the king and parliament in Nepal. That prompted his party to sack him from the post of the spokesperson. Acharya also talks about Constituent Assembly.

What happened this morning? Here is the detailed made available by the aides of Acharya. At around 05 am in the morning, Tek Prasad Ghimire inquired Rashmi Lama, the caretaker, about the main entrance of the house that was wide open.

The neighbors jumped over the compound wall and opened up the door of Rashmi?s room. They called to Chakrapath Police beat.

Police came, inspected the venue and returned at around 7 am.

The computer and fax cover have been removed. It seemed that computer was opened up and used for a while.

Those IP thieves printed too. The volume of the paper on the printer was reduced. Ditto with photocopier.
So far, things missing from the house are one computer table, 2 bundle of ballpoint pen, one suitcase, a penholder, and one notepad.

Papers are scattered so it was not immediately clear which kind of paper is missing.

Acharya was writing a book about restructuring the state and constituent assembly. Files related to this were not deleted but apparently they were accessed in the computer.

see dude, not too long ago, girija gautam was deported to nepal with another lawyer from ny called gandhi pandit for making work permits with false information, now owns a hotel from those stupid nepalese who took risks to get the work permit from them so he was certainly the good candidate. another one is mr.krishna nirola who became the president of ana by similar to to what bush did, another good candidate. madhavi basnet is the lady who lives around dc but not sure if she is an attorney, last time i spoke to her she said it was her 4th time giving the exam, another qualified candidate. shyam karki who was in nepal recently, he sucked in front of the king to get some land so that he could build some sort of ashram but after getting he wanted in nepal, now he is cursing the king. see what i am talking about, these people are those cooks who wants to spoil the broth. and the homo raj was busy in front of the camera as you can see in the picture, what a combo? huh??
