BabuRAM Bhattarai has the most uncultured mind; he does not know anything about Marxism. He picked up the smattering of Communism from a third rate Marxist seat like JNU. Intellectually, he has the most primitive mind.
No wonder you idolize a fool like BabuRAM Bhattarai. BabuRam Bhattari is a gun totting imbecille whose terror, brutality and cruelty impresses people like Parmendra.

BabuRAM a man of intellectual prowess, You indeed sort chaff from the wheat.

BABU RAM, a well-read person, nothing could be more Farther from Truth.

You and your foolish republicanism has indeed a long way to go. Your blind zealotry never fails to amaze me.

What a wonderful campaign to serve the descriminated Madhesi Community!!! Stop licking BABURAM's ass.

BabuRam's fame is based on his topping the exam. I like to tell you about a comment by N. C. Chaudhuri, the late Indian author that people in India set great store by the people who excell in the exam. That is not a measure of creativity. If you read Baburam's writings, they are worse than useless, full of cliche and the shallowest understanding even of the Marxism in which it would not be unfair to expect him to show some depth.

He and PrACHANDES amd MAOISTS are monsters without the milk of the human kindness (Shakesperean vein).

Does it now seem mystifying to you, Mr Bhagat, why I call Baburam an idiot, no matter what he did in some stupid exams?

For the past 10 years they are tormenting Nepal as evil monsters.

O rituji,
I would certainly lend a hand from both my side and my family side if it would amount to a bit of change. Do not give me your high-minded, Republican sounding arguement. Lets talk about baburam and his family. In terms of intellectuality, he will rank 100 times better than 95 percent people making noise on this board. Second, ideologies do not change and "thrid-rated' with the change of institutions. Marxism might not be the best ideology around, but it's good blood in it. Let me notify you all here, Marxism was never put into practice the way Marx and Engels visioned about it.

Secondly, about his family in Canada or UK--where should he put them. Hamas, Chechen Rebels, Southern Sudanese Rebels --all have representation and presence in UK. Similarly, the headquarter, i mean London, is the center of all-around-the-globe Marxist-leninist.

Another point---while viability of marxism is doubtful in our present context, to choose to be ruled by the king is the worst choice. Go home honey. You will feel the fear there and realize it. Illusionary silence and peace is the mirage you are longing for. Reality is different.

Harka ji--To make a point in case here, The option we have left is the rule of democracy by new leader, and supposedly younger leaders. Not the Budhas. Our society has been so deeply rooted in corruption and cronyism that immediate success is now where in the vicinity.

Lastly, War and REvolutions are fought for a greater cause. Ask the israeli cabinet member whose idea of democracy deeply inspired Bush to go after democracy in the middle east. Life and death is a cycle. Those to die for common good die for a just cause.

Highfly,

Marxism did not fail. Those who attempted to put into practice failed. China is not a failed state. It is prospering. It is prospering with a touch of capitalism in it. America prosepered because of the socialist idea juxtaposed with capitalism after the great Depression. Government control is necessary. Free market does not rule itself.
So, it should be evident to you that idelogies morph and modify with change in time and scenario. I would certainly not argue that pure Marxism will survive. But a modified version has chances. Look at our Communist Party. They prefer democracy. That's called change or modification.

It should be kept in mind that emotional appeals and "ti dukha ka din haru" like stories remain outside the arena of policy making and ideology application.

Kathmandu is not Nepal. Go to Karnali. You will see what life is like there. No water, no roads, no communications. those of you guys who grew up using internet and going to private schools won't ever understand the pain of being in paddy field on a hot summer day. Instead of school, they talk about sukul. instead of capital, they talk about tama and pittal. Instead of democracy, they talk about "dumber kc' who promises to feed them.

CHina is not a communist state. IT,s only ruled by a single party. Ya, in the similar way US is not totally capitalist. It do have socialism. And in CHina also poor people are very poor. There is a hugge difference in level of earnings between rich and poor.

Having said this, what maoists are firghting over? They are fighting to bring communism. Communism is not the solution. Comminsim is the failed philosophy. It is not practical to implement the communism.

First of all maoists are not honest. Look at the incidents. It speaks for themselves. Just think about the consequences.

When maoists gonna be in power there gonna be gross human rights violtaion and possible genocide. Polpot in Cambodia is an example. If not foreign interference, then atleast there
gonna be economic embargo. How its gonna work in the land locked country.

Multiparty deomcracy is a good system where people gotta chance to choose the leader. But the current leadership is so inept and corrupt that it failed us all.

I am just waiting and seeing the development in Nepal. ITs good if these corrupt leaders are prosecuted and punished. We need a new leadership. King will have to go back to multi party democracy. Its a matter of time. Before he goes back I want these corrupt be punished.

I say we need a strong framework. We do not have a necessary framework so that the country can run properly.

BabuRam 100 times better than 95 % of the participant here. Dream on. I donot want to sound arrogant, I claim that he (Baburam) is far inferior to me intellectually. I admit I donot command the group of the Maoist terorrists, nor I am I famous. BabuRam is a fanatic fool. It is not surprising that the majority of participant here eclipse him intellectually.

Only the followers of Polpot can have the stony hear to justify the killing, pillage and plunder perpetrated by the Maoist terrorist. Yes, karnali is poor and backward. How do you address the problem? By waging a terrorist war against the govt elected by majority. It all started when there was a democratic goivernment. Should the govt. bow to the Maoist thugs just because they talk aboiut the suffering of people in Karnali?

The world has categorically rejected communism as an answer to the social inequality and underdevelopment. Nepal's future lies not with the maoist criminal but with a democracy.

We can not allow the killings of Cambodia to happen in Nepal? Polpot cvlaimed toi justify the massacre in Cambodia in the name of promoting social equality? Is that a great cause that drives the Maoist thugs in Nepal?

About Marxism I will write later if I have a free time. I donot know whether discussion in this foruym contributes even in a small way to build up opinion against the Maoist crimes against humanity.

You talk about Gyanendra. His position can not be threatened as long he remains committed to the constituional monarchy. Today in this conflict he is our commander in chief as long as there is no elected govt to talk the charge.

Quite possibly, I am off for a few weeks. I will try to be back asap. As I mentioned earlier, I don't know whether this forum contributes meanigfully and forcefully to unmask the Maoist evil. Social culture Nepal is another forum. Anyway, HIGHFLY and COFFEE AND other contributors can take over the dicussion and expose the Maoist crimes.

Plus the drawback of this forum is communication in English.

So when all failed u expect these Nepali Commis to be successful to implement Marxiam. China is not a failed state and not also a communist state. Its prospering with capitalism with a touch of socialism. Agreed govt control is necessary. But that should never be a communist govt.

I do not think that we can comparision even 1% with Baruram and Hitler.

We should not compare Baburam with Hitler because of baburam has different political philosophy or Idealogy than Nepali Congress or Nepal Prajatantra parties.

I trust that without very stronge good reason, nobody wants to fighting, Killing and Dieying.

It is the most important that - Why these people fighting, Killing and giving their lives.

Then, We might able to think about our Problems and Solutions.

Otherwise, Blaming, Screaming, Scolding, Running around to be a escape goat will not be the best solution for the context of Nepal.

There is nothing impossible, but it is not easy to achieve better goal. Because True Freedom and Democracy are NOT FREE.

Yes, I agree with you all guys one way or other.

I hope that we all agree with all causes like Maoist' sArms Revolutions, King Coup, economical, social and political problems are origin from corrupted and criminal Nepalese government Officials and politicals leaders.

I think that Maoist also do not have other choice unless do Arms Revolutions. Guareented that Street protest and demonstration do not work in Nepal.

We know that Communism could not prove happy life. But there are always possible: if Nepalese Maoist can take modern and scientific way different than other communist countries.

Other hand, If we do not accept Maoists. Who we gonna coose? I trust that we do not want same old Nepalese Crooks.

That is my a major and deep concern here.

Highfly dude

I really dont believe there is any other country currently in the world that has more capitalist society than that of the US. Can you mention any country if there is any ?

The very few of the last remaining social programs in the US that is publicly funded (Govt. funded) such as "Social Security" and "Medicare" have taken really great hits in the recent times as the financial contributions to these social programs have been slased over and over again ni the recent times. Thanks to the "TAX CUTS" and the resulting "ripple effects" that hits hards to these social programs.

By the way, the US has the widest gap of "standards of living" between the rich and the poor people in the industrialized(or developed) nations in the world, if you have had chance to glance at the stats. This fact columinated by the badly lack of social programs has resulted in the unimaginable level of crimes ,violence and other indirect negative social problems in the US society as a whole that is found nowhere else in the world.

Well, I dont believe that hardcore(pure) communism will work anywhere in the world because for hardcore(pure) communism to worlk the government of any country has to have endless source of finances. In the real life, the opposite is the constant reality therefore hardcore(pure) communism is financially unsustainable in the long term. Financially bankrupt Soviet government before 1990 (which ultimately led to the demise of Soviet empire itself) is the perfect example of this reality. This fact also must have had led Chinese communist leaders to be open to Capitalism.

Capitalim produces many social evils however the evils that capitalism produces can be checked and put in balance by the appropriate mixutre of many of the socialist ideas found in communism providing healthy dose of a mixture of socialism and capitalism.

Bharsta,

As u mentioned Social Security is one of the example of socialist theory. In the same way steel industry ids protected. There have been so many times US bailed out failing compnies like caterpillar when they were faced with competition by Komatsu.

I am just trying to pont out the extreme capitalist like US has some socialist elements. U agreed to the fact that communism cannot be successful. Thats what I want to point out.

As far as maoism is concerned they are hard core communist. The tactics applied by them prove for themselves. Moreover their leadership is not honest. How can they justify the killings of innocents, extortion, attacks at infrastructure. We Nepalese are far better off when there is no communism.

Highfly

I have always agreed to the fact that hardcore Communism will eventually fail I will never accept and support hardcore Communism but I will really want to see softer version of leftist ideas be implemented in conjunction with the Capitalism. I like to see many of the socialist ideas found in Communism be really great.

Maoists 40 point demands presented just days before starting the revolt had a bag of mixture of extensive social programs along with hardcore Communist ideas such as banning foreign investment in the country. I'll never except this idea but there are so many useful social programs that definately warrents anyone to give a thought.

What do you talking about?

Communism:

(1) Communism is hardship.

(2) Give you limited food, cloth, shelter and want you work.

(3) When you earn money, Government will take your share of earning by law. It is call your contribution to country. If you pay, then I have to pay, too.

(4) Government never ever shows you nice and fun things and talks sweet, so you do not expect, too.

(5) All people must work hard.

Capitalism:

(1) Capitalism is illusion or fantasy.

(2) You must buy your food, cloth, and shelter and make you work hard like legal salve.

(3) You work hard and end of the year, you need to give your money to government. That is calling TAX. If you dead in early, you do not get nothing Zero. If you pay, I may not pay.

(4) Government always shows you nice and fun things and talk sweet, but you never get it. You will die, before you take single test of life.

(5) Some people work hard and die, some people never work.

Both Political governments are good and bad on their Stages and Situation.

Like, Some people work if you kiss. However, other people work if only you kick them.
