10 common characteristic of Nepali in general living in US ...

1. They still say birthday a bud-day.

2. They call candy a chocolate.. hehehehehe.

3. They still look at the sky at aeroplane flying.

4. They love everything about DHOTI but hate DHOTI the most.

5. They comment others accent with funny accent.

6. They think they are smartest imigrant than anybody else.

7. They call an American a "F***ing American" for no reason.

8. They all are patriotic but do not want to go back to Nepal.

9. They hate to look like Mexican coz they think every single mexican is illegal.

10. BUT EXCEPTIONALLY SOME NEPALI ARE WAY INTELLIGENT ... CAN'T FIT ON ALL ABOVE CHARACTERS.

Go tell this to millions of Nepali in Nepal..who are work all day for freaking people like you and me..Those people who spend their life without much to show for.....brother I agree..there might have been super selfish people around you..or whatever...but I dont know where did you pull those stats.from..Who isnt selfish?In some ways..you have to be selfish..to some degree... If you arent selfish there is something wrong with you.

good things about "real" nepalis:

-- Most of the Nepalis I have met are caring...Imagine two Americans meeting up somewhere outside us..they would just hi or hello and move on..but if two nepalis meet in foreign land..atleast they care to spend few mins...talking or whatever..well thats from my experience anyway..

We Nepalese have many good points:
1. We know all the things around us except our own business. Once my younger sister went to the post office in a rural area. The hulaki dai was talking about politics, business, and many other things. When my sister came there he talked about US bosting others that her brother is there in US doing this & that.
My sister asked him: US pathaauna lai kati rupayako ticket lagchha Mahil Dai?
He replied tyo ta kunnni malaai ni thaha bhayena.

When I was in my early teen, there was this family whose son used to go to Xaviers. He was pretty cool guy, but his mother always forced him to become someone like me. She used to say "Look at kalanki, learn from him" as if I was some kinda big shot. Poor guy, he almost lost his identity trying to become somebody else. The point is we always try others to think the way we think or try them to walk the way we walk. For example, if we think Gyane is chor, we want others to think the same way. If they don't think Gyane is chor, we either piss and moan about it ( which is okay) or we just start bi*ching about it. We want freedom, we brag about it buttt other people only have freedom to think the way we think. You can't go out of line.

I hate to be called a Mexican, not because majority of them are illegal (no wonder I was illegal before) but I am Nepali. Once one Khaire came in my store calling me "What's up Mexican (he didn't even say me Amigo, otherwise I would had not taken seriously)"... I asked him to repeat that again, then again he said same thing. I was so mad I told that guy "Sir, you piss me off, would you kindly step out of my store." and he went out.

One of my Nepali fren has awesome vocabulary in english (don't want to mention about his SAT score - he blowed ) but don't know why he still pronounce "Birthday" as "Bud-Day"

I still look at flying aeroplane, even if I am driving a car on Highway 101.

I love good DHOTI movie, but not that die hard crazy about DHOTI dishes, again awfully hate DHOTI especially customers
