it's unbelievable how many posts in his website are burning with rage as much as they're glowing with ignorance. i'm sick of saying the same thing over an over here. if anything, we should be concerned that a country with already so many problems is facing yet another conflict that is not common in our history: religious conflict. i used to take pride in the fact that buddhist and hindu temples are worshipped by all without any prejudice. also in the fact that we have a big mosque in the middle of the city and everyone accepts it in peace. this could the start of a horrible era of religious violence in nepal and people like use, arguably more privileged and less ignorant than most nepali's, should not be fueling such mindless cycle of hatred.

I am no less surprised at the number of posts calling for the burning of mosques and hurting Muslims in Nepal. Where are the sane voices? Or have the supposed intellectuals of Sajha decided to refrain from posting in silent acquiescence of the violent views expressed by these overly emotional people?

I was there in the crowd trying to see what was going on and all I saw were people having FUN... there was a lot of anger but you can't imagine the disgust I felt at people with SMILING FACES and laughing like it is a game, as they destroy a mosque the symbol of Islam.

Can you imagine? At least if it was a serious anger and people could not even control themselves, that would be a little better. But people COULD control themselves, they just didn't have the strength and courage to do it? And another thing, why was it 90% young males who were there?

I tried to plead with people, why are you doing this? All I got in return was a lot of groupthink, like "They did this to us, now we are doing it to them!" The problem is that "they" number 1 is completely different from "they" number 2.

Were they destroying the headquarters of the Army of Ansar Al-Sunna? No, they were destroying the holy place of 3.5% of their own country's population.

Shame.... on top of shame. Tragedy on top of tragedy.

What is behind this? Was this instigated by Shiv Sena people or other fundamentalist Hindutva elements? I understand the anger at the agencies of employment, since there is evidence of their corruption and they have long been profiting by selling the labor of people at too high a cost. But at Islam? There is no basis for it! It is a leap of logic that defies my imagination.

don't hate on all the muslims! I am a Nepali hindu and feel the same way about hostages as everyone else but you can't blame each and every person who follows Islam. Its thoughts like that that make the world an unpeaceful place. If we were to blame the whole group of people based one few that have dont wrong then I think no human being is innocent. If you believe you are right about hating Islam then you may think it is okay to hate Nepalis cause look at the maoist groups that kill people and the army that beats up people. How is your blood any different from theirs. Are all the Nepalis killers then? Are we all the kinds that ride on motorbikes and go around bombing and killing people around kathmandu?
Think back to after 9/11 when the Nepali guy in Colorado tried to sneak knives into the airplane then claimed that he didnt know the rules. So are you applying we are all dumb like that guy who dont know right from wrong. It is not all muslims fault that some kill in the name of Quran. No where in the book does it say to kill in the name of Allah. Just cause of some dumb muslims you cannot blame the entire race. If that was the case I blame all the Nepalis to be killers too..in the name of nothing!

I think you need to really read the Quran. The verses are quite explicit on calls for killings of infidels. Here it is:

IX/5: Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor- due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

This verse tells us that muslims are free to convert non-muslims by force and brutality. If unsuccessful in doing so, they are free to kill.

XCVIII/6: Lo! those who disbelieve, among the people of the Scripture and idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings.

From the above passage you can clearly see that according to Mohammed, Allah has reserved a special place for non- mulsims--HELL!

VIII/12: When thy Lord inspired the angels (saying:) I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger.

Here one can clearly see that the Quran is openly saying to the muslims to give a torturous death to those who are non-believers of the Islamic faith.

IV/144: O Ye who believe! choose not disbelievers for your friends in place of believers. Would you give Allah a clear warrant against you ?

This verse clarifies the fact that a true Muslim can never be a friend of a person of another faith. People who believe otherwise are under delusion.

We will not be Right if we close door for all Muslims. There are lots of complication thru International law, Human Rights, Freedom and Equality. However, we have right to protect our country from international terrorism and criminals activities. It doesnýt mean that we have right to do 100% block in or kick out all Muslims from our country.

a) Nepali people anger at this moment is reasonable:
It's normal that Nepali people get mad after seeing such videos. when people are mad , people distruct. What are we supposed to do after watching such videos. Go give a hug to the muslims in the mosque in ghanta ghar and thank them?

b) Risking 200000 Nepali lives in gulf countries: Thier lives have been already put into risk when they were sent there. Better have them come back home.Money is good, but riking life for money is no good. People in this forum have been whining about the money Nepal going to lose if we continue protesting islamic violence and what happned to us. That is just stupid.

c) Muslims:
There are so such things like "good muslims" and "bad muslim". There are only bad muslims. Let me make my point whey.
yes, there are only bad muslims. Why? because their religion, thier values, their methods are FUNDAMENTALLY BAD. Kuran literally tells them to go kill the disbelievers. What are they supposed to do if they want to be good muslims ? they kill right? now how can there be good muslims who don't kill disbelievers. According to the good muslims thoese ones who do not kill are the bad muslims.
So my point, Islam is fundamentally wrong and based on violence and forceful conversion. You can not be islamic and be rigth. Islam is the disease and those terrorists were the symptoms.

d) now what do we do:
