Dude, don't do this mistake of taking out money from ATMs in Nepal. I was able to withdraw only Rs 40,000 per transaction and that cost me 20 dollars. Better send money through moneygram.

You can be the sender and receiver. I have done dat a lot. Its easy n there is no problem in doing so. Seems like ur first time on it.

Using a paypal debit card is a good way to get cash in Nepal, because Paypal does not have fees for using your debit card from Nepal. Once you get a paypal account, you can transfer your money from your bank to paypal for free. Then you can request a debit card from paypal and use it from Nepal.
