Few things i like about iPhone
1. Signal reception. I don't know how is it on iPhone 5 but i have heard SGSiii does not have good signal reception compared to iPhone 4s. I used to have htc phone and they sucked reception wise, compared to iPhone 4s my wife was using with same service with att. So now the first thing i look for is reception quality before i buy any phone. I Was looking to buy SgSiii but didn't find good reviews about reception. Thats what stopped me to buy it.

2. Battery life: i can go for 7 hours screen on with heavy usage on my iphone. I found SGSiii lasts about 4 hrs with screen on.

These are the 2 things i look first before i buy any phone.

3. iMessage: this is very useful to me. I can send text messages free text to anyone and anywhere in this world. All my friends and families uses iPhone. So thats even more convenient for me. I even send texts to Nepal for free. I know there are other apps like viber but sometimes they are not relaible like iMessage in my opinion.

And the last one:
FaceTime: I don't even need to use skype.

These are the things i do on my phone 90 percent of time. And most of my friends and families uses iPhone so it's lot easier for me. It's just me. You might have different scenerio. I am just giving my 2 cents :)

In my house there is both iphone and Samsung galaxy S3.  Unfortunately, i have to disagree with the reception thing and found S3 giving better  reception. Iphone often disconnects because of poor reception.

Here  i like something about S3 over iphone and vice versa,

  -  I like playing with the widgets rather than using plain apps. In iphone for everything you have to go into apps.  For example, in samsung i can arrange widgets to know about twitter, facebook, weather etc without going to apps. It also  makes moving around screens better experience.

-  I watch skysports on the go with sky apps. I have compared the display of both samsung and iphone, and the bigger screen gives me a better video experience.  The display of both the device is fantastic. But someone who watches a lot of videos , samsung does it for me.

- I don't like to buy too many apps like in iphone. I would rather have a small google advertisement on the top of the application rather than paying for it.  Android offers a lot of free applications compared to iphone.

-samsung s3 i can easily share photos with my friends with groupshare. Also display on tv. I think  NFC is a fantastic application.  Some of my friends have S3.  And NFC is great. I am sure NFC will be biggest selling point for iphone 5s or Iphone 6.  But where's the innovation.

- I have a wireless charger for samsung. So i can take it anywhere. I do not know if wireless charger for iphone is available.

-   Samsung  s3 has been said  DESIGNED FOR HUMAN -INSPIRED BY NATURE. And it is not difficult to know why.   If you look most of the things it is related to nature. Like the front screen.  Ringtones sounds are related to nature.  ....................Also smart stay will let you read book and watch video during night. When  you sleep, it turns off automatically.

-    I like the MOTION SENSOR in samsung . Like if i have to update anything like weather twitter, faceook widget, all i need to do is shake the phone for 2 seconds. it updates automatically, I think it is pretty neat.

- I use the samsungs own swipe keyboard. This makes typing very fast compared to iphone,

- I know one day when my battery in samsung needs to be replaced i can do it myself and not send Iphone office for fixing for days,

-  On the contrary iphone has a more luxuriouos look with aluminium coating.

-  I phone has built an ecosystem. So if you are ipad, ipod, mac user may be it is better to integrate iphone into it.   But how long can one continue to buy inferior product ( at least in terms of specs) just to be an ecosystem.

-Some people might like the size of iphone .  Although i can fit samsung s3 perfectly in my pocket. my pockets arnt  big.

-   Currently siri does have an advantage over S voice. But S voice also does simple task without any problem like sending text, calling someone, setting alarm.

For an average user (who doesn't need root user access and overclock processor), either one is good. If you need bigger screen, less restrictions on softwares then go with Galaxy III. If you have other apple gadgets, use facetime, need slightly longer battery time (Droid HD max has the best on this category) then go with iPhone 5.

@no_quiero

About reception. Are both phones same service provider and is it at&t?

I was talking about at&t. If sgsiii is better than iPhone reception wise then i am gonna have to look into it. That's the only thing bothering me.

Yes, GALAXY NOTE II, have been a regular user of iphone 3g, gs, and iphone 4. I was about to buy iphone5 as I was upgrade eligible but after looking at the note II. I've decided to go for it to iphone 5. Bigger screen, and also you can actually pop up the window thats like a mini laptop why not give it a try. waitin for october 21 when note II will be in market.

Besides functionaliies, I found Note bit bigger to be the best internet phone, may be it is my average sized nepali hand. Iphone upto 4s are bit smaller to be an internet phone, dont know abt iphone 5, I have not held it in my hand. So, something SG SII or SIII is my fav in current time if i have to choose an internet phone.

guys, i am here today with hands on review about the iphone 5.Its actually more of a warning. Besides the slimmer and lighter stuff, which is so much overrated , the panaroma is the only unique features among its predecessors. However, android users can download panaroma picture taking apps for free. The MAJOR FLAW  i have been expereincing is IT BARELY WORKS ON THE WIFI. My wife's iphone 4s works so smooth on our home wifi, whereas my IPHONE 5 dont work at all , most of the times. It takes several minutes to refresh the news feed on facebook. I hope this will help you guys outhere , not being able to decide which phone to buy, make a wise decison.

fyi, you dont need to download any panaroma app for android. even the old galaxy s2 had built in panaroma feature.

Galaxy is too small to be a tablet and too big to be a horse. It is like a 'mule' ,mix between horse and Donkey, good for neither thing.
