Anyone who have recently applied for visitor visa extension of their parents or who are going to do so in near future??
I wanted to know about suitable time to apply i.e how early should we apply before the i-94 expires. I have heard from several people jati dhilo garyo teti ramro ensuring that the application reaches USCIS before I-94 expires. Any comments on this???

What about the decision from USCIS?
When did the decision from USCIS came? Before the expiry of I-94 or after? If no decision comes prior to expiry of I-94, what happens then?

USCIS will take a whole lot of time. My parents extension application is still pending. I filed on Dec. 1 and after 2 months it was transferred from Vermont to California and it is still pending there. good thing is that they can stay until heard from USCIS even after the I-94 expiry. USCIS will give you 30 days notice to leave the country if the extension is rejected.
p.s. it is wise to file 6-8 weeks before I-94 expires.

i would be applying last week of april which gives me 6 weeks of time. Can you tell me what reason did you mention on the application letter. Some people that i have talked with have said " ghumna bakin chha bhanera lekhne ho". I had one relative who sent me his application and it was just 6,7 lines saying i am yet to see other side of US and nothing else.
