its difficult to get one
if you have no other option you can go for that
download the form and you can apply for free
you have to specify the reason for it
and they should believe it to give you one
you can even file work authorization after 150 days and work when ur status is still pending
please let me know if you have more questions
you can even hire the lawyer but that is expensive
so think about that and plan accordingly

First of all Why student want Asylum? Huh....

there is no maoist problem in nepal anymore. what is the basis of filling Assylum? Think twice before u do that.

Asylum is a protection relief for those whose life will definitely be in danger (subject to torture, imprisonment, death etc) if they go back to their home country. There are millions of people around the world who genuinely need asylum relief. A slot given to one who does not need it absolutely denies the necessary protection to another in genuine need. There are no indefinite slots in any country.

And of course you will be bull-shitting your way through the process, since you don't claim to be in danger if you go back to Nepal. Discovery of fraud continues to prompt the introduction of more and more stringent and impossible demands from the sylum office and the immigration courts on those who actually need such relief.

My suggestion: Don't lie. Do the right thing.

Yes tambe mazemyan is right.It hampers the one who is in genuine need since it makes the breach of trust.I have seen people who are really in need also not getting one becasue of these fake applications.Its not the way that if you cannot success in F-1 you try this easy option.Try to maintain the F-1 status only,repeat the courses or try other way out by talking to your international student advisor.There should be a way out of it.Also if you don't study and get degree I can claim that there is no life in America.Its the place for struggle and one who go through it will get higher quality of life.Bigger dreams need bigger sacrifices.And I learned it hard way fren.So try to maintain F-1 status if you can then going for this asylum.
I know you can do it buddy.We immigrants are the one who developed this country because of our determination and hard work.
Life is challange and fight against it buddy go through it.Anyone can give up anytime but one who makes it to the end is the winner,survivor and the true Nepali citizen and we need to prove it buddy.

Tambe, I read in one of my class that to file for asylum (political), one has to do it within a year of their coming here. Just wondering if you are within the timeframe.

I am also student in valid F-1 status.I filed asylum but still they have not provided me one though I have genuine result.I have interview and they sent me intent to deny letter.I have sent them reply but I haven't heard back from them again.It has been 20 days since my reply.I don't how long it will take to get one.I am graduating this semester and so in dillema what to do.I already applied for OPT too and waiting now for work permit.I have two alien no one in passport I-94 and one in the asylum applicaion.I don't know which one to use and how to proceed.So my case is little bit complicated.Since I am in valid F-1 status asylum officer said nothing is going to happen to me if I am rejected also.But still I am worried what will happen if I go Nepal and comeback will they allow me to come back or not?They says that it will take 60 days to process intent to deny.I don't know if I will get one before I file my H-1b.So if anyone have gone through the similar situation pls share with me.

take good lawyer. i dont think u can stay in two status. once u file ur assylum and get new alien number, ur status shud change but again i am not a lawyer. so consult with some good attorney. one more thing, since u are filling asylum, i dont think u can go back to nepal. again talk to ur lawyer.

Only Nepali person who are corrupted and criminal knows and want about Asylum to another countries, Good Nepal Citizens do want that begger status and never ever think that things...

So We should not support those people who want Asylum to another countries.

It depends on the condition.People have to go through various pain and suffering so one can be asylee without being criminal or bad people.
