The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has a Management Support Centre (MSC) which supports the Enterprise Resource Planning system, PeopleSoft or internally called “Atlas”. The Management Support Centre is located at the UNDP/RBEC Bratislava Regional Center (BRC), Slovak Republic and serves the UNDP Country Offices in Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Arab States and Africa.
Under the supervision of the MSC Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the user community, as well as identifying the evolving user support needs for Atlas within the Project Management work stream.
The incumbent will work closely with various UNDP units (including CBS, OIST, BOM, and LRC) in support of functions in Atlas and country office project management operations, as well as user education.
Specific duties include:
* To perform Tier2 user support addressing issues not resolved by Tier1 personnel.
* To analyze issues for the Atlas Project Management work stream providing a resolution, and to escalate issues requiring business community decisions accordingly.
* To update solutions to the solution database within the Atlas CRM system.
* To advise on the development and support of new functionality, as well as corrections and modifications to the Atlas Project Management work stream related modules.
* To serve as a support resource to the UNDP Project Management related units. As a primary user of the system, to help them understand the more complicated procedures within the system.
* To develop and to customize training to be delivered to the user community at various levels of complexity, and to serve as a resource person for training whenever required.
* To monitor and to facilitate the Project Management network in providing immediate responses to users through the Project Management network or through the CRM.
* To escalate and to follow-up on issues raised in the network to different Atlas support teams if needed (technical issues, Atlas performance issues, not Project Management related issues, etc.).
* To act as a resource person for the data clean up or facilitation in operations for COs in an emergency situation whenever required.
* To participate in the testing of new updates and add-ons to the Atlas to provide feedback to developers and track leaders.
* In co-operation with other units, to create and to update on-line training materials as time permits.

Essential knowledge and experience:
* Proven track record of strong project management knowledge.
* Sound knowledge of relevant operational rules and regulations.
* Ability to provide input to business processes re-engineering, implementation of new system.
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft or another ERP platform a strong advantage.
* Proficient in the use of information technology.
* Good knowledge of UNDP’s project management applications, rules and regulations, and business processes is an advantage.
* Knowledge of software development and quality assurance an advantage.
* Masters degree in project management, business and/or ICT related area.
* A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
* Three years experience within UNDP/ UNOPS/ UNFPA project management field is preferable, but not essential.
* Excellent written and oral English-language communications skills.
* Knowledge of other UN languages an asset.
