LAN says its connected but there are few bytes sent and few bytes received on internet status and the both computer icons are black, not even a glimpse of blue color!!! Internet is not working!! Help!!

i repaired it but it says "windows cannot blah blah blah, ask your administrator" and all that. please help me out here.
