The Black Pearl at Yak & Yeti is quite nice. Not sure if it's still open. The Liquid Lounge and Latin Quarters also have party atmospheres but are different from what you find in many places in the US. J Bar is another place that's pretty nice.

heheheheheh dude. good luck. i was in nepal this summer after a long time, i tried to find any decent party and a nice disco or party place. whatever the name was given up here none of them were good. its all empty. if u only like to drink sitting with guys then u r in rt track. otherwise if u prefer ladies like u expect here then u aint gonna got any of those. u sud better go to dance bar and see those ugly looking gals and get frustrated. if u r a party animal here then dude u get bored and frustrated with the party there. so good luck.

Availability depends on your need , What kind of night life you looking for ? Just to hang out and 1,2 beer ?? go to any bar in thamel and its good. Want to see what top quality bar is like- go to ROX or yak n yeti.
If you're thinking about sex , go to nude bars in sahid gate or thamel (dont tell me that having been to strip club, you dont intent to do so in kathmandu believe me the feeling you'll have is amazing... may be aafno bhaneko aafnai ho.. nepali KT haru), if looking for really cheap stuff, go to Cabin restaurent.
