Is it my imagination that Gallery Baithak of Parliament looks very much like a christian church inside now that I have seem both? Does anyone know the history of this building?

gallery baithak was built by janga b. rana to host non-hindu guests, particularly christians from british raj during his days. since it was a lounge, he called it a baithak. its quite elegant and as someone earlier rightfully said, looks a bit like church. it has since been used for meetings of members of parliament since decomcracy ushered in nepal. that is what i know abt that interesting masterpiece of the rana era.
