Hi guys i was just wondering do i have to pay monthly subcription fee if i get GPS NAVIGATION system?

Nope, you just have to buy the system say for example germain etc etc.

I know they come with pre-loaded maps and directions...can you buy software to update the maps and stuff??? ANy one knwo for sure?Woudl appreciate the response.

PS: I have a really old Magellen GPS...but the maps/directions are almost outdated.

yes, if it can be connected to computer and have enough memory. go to company website and find about your model wheather it is upgradabler. 99% of the time it is upgradable

yes, no need to have subscription. Flaptop, do some google search to find best software, the gps comes with installation software and maps. enjoy
