RNA confounded by a library in Pokhara Sajha Post Reporter (Embedded with RNA now) --------------------------------------------- RNA commandos have escalated their search of the Maoists in the hinterland of Nepal, and that includes Pokhara, a city 200 KM west from Kathmandu.Major Shaubhagya Rana of Kali Bahadur Gulm, speaking with this representative, said he was upbeat, that his boys would dig up the Maoists from any spider hole they might be hiding, and that things would cool down soon under the command of his majesty the king. Yesterday, this reporter companied the RNA men in their search of the Maoists. We reached Prithvi Narayan Campus library at Bagar while pursuing the Maoists. The soldiers were nonplussed about the library. The books were hindering their search. Major Rana then called directly to the RNA headquarter: "Sir, we have a library here. It seems useless, and suspiciously located here." Rana said. The military liaison officer said he needed to consult with the palace in that matter. So we all waited for a few minutes. Then came the call back from the headquarter: "The king says, if the books in the library contradict Shahi Ghosana (royal proclamation), then they shouldn't be there, and if the books agree with the Shahi Ghosana, then they are superfluous. So go ahead and destroy the library."

KankaiRiver ji, Great reporting ! Good to see you reporting embedded with the RNA. Some people, obviously not emdded with the RNA, are reporting falsely that the King has reduced to a Mayor of Kathmandu. Please do let us know, how the King is conquering cities by cities. Can't believe somebody calling him a Mayor. What a nonsense ! He is not even a King. He is an emperor, declared not long ago in Kathmandu by his loyal subjects amidst a grand celebration.

princeofdarkness, All I hope is you actuall got the humor. Nepeji, Those people are damn fool. His majesty's soldiers are marching towards the mountains. They are showing their strength by shooting anyone who flees away from them. Those who don't flee away from them are ,however, often given leniency, and only required to provide food or carnal pleasure if our soldiers so desire. Our soldiers are determined to stay the course, they are going to close any iconoclast newspapers, block communication and force FMs to play love songs or rashtriya songs only, and so on and so forth. Our soldiers do control every inch of our land, and they are only excited to hear more news from KTM, such as new leadership of Panchayat ki mother Tulsi Giri etc. We have never seen such ebullience and energy in them! Rest assured, victory is nigh!

As "Peace" strikes terror in Nepalese life, the "deaf and dumb" survive scrutiny. I think people are resigned to the fact that a dysfunctional kingdom is better than the alternative.

"A dysfunctional kingdom, with a dim ray of hope at the end of the tunnel", would probably provide a better discription to the "present crisis". Also, the term "alternative" has not even been vaguely defined. A point to ponder upon. I would like to point your attention to an article that I deem very appropriate for the discussion and humbly confess that I was indeed inspired by that same article to write this. http://www.sajha.com/sajha/html/openThread.cfm?forum=2&ThreadID=19854 "Come you masters of war, you that build all the big guns, you that hand me a gun..... you that hide behind your desk when the fast bullets fly" ~Dylan

" I think people are resigned to the fact that a dysfunctional kingdom is better than the alternative. " People, huh? They have NO choice. They are forced to take it to the heart that dysfunctional kingdom is ok, because they can't do anything to alter it. They have to take the side, and bot sides are so bad.
