Dude ..there are more than just Maadeshi people who would like to carve out if not want an autonmous homeland with Nepali state (if agreeable) otherwise completely saperate of Nepali state...for eg..
* Kirats in the east
* Maadeshis in the south-east
* Tharus in the south and south-west
* Tamangs in the central region
* Gurungs and Magars in the west
and others....
I believe neither of your parents died in creating Nepal as a state. More than that, there wasnt any necessicity to create Nepal as a state except for Shahs. Neither the various groups of people who lived in various regions around the present Nepali state nor the heads of these small states ever asked Shahs to take over them.
After all, more than 250 years after the creation of Nepali state, hardly any social, political, educational and economic status of these native people, that I mentioned above who lived in the various regions, have become any better at all.
Damm**n after more than 2 and half century later nothing has changed for these people, then are there any strong reasons to continue with the state at an expence of these very people. At least I dont find perticularly strong reasons at all.
