Sabin Rai..

Singer or Entertainer????? I think there is a difference, isnt there?

From the above list , I think Nima Rumba stands out becuase he has his own style and flavor. He also has been in the game for a while now..so I would choose him.

Sabin Rai not only sings like Bryan but he also sounds like him...Umm seems like he has been heavily inspired by Bryan Adams. But I can understand why people like that kind of voice..its unique..thats why people like Bryan Adams, Macy Gray are so intriguing voice wise..

After all I said and done, I still cant get over those old classic nepali songs of Arun Thapa, Deep Shrestha and Narayan Gopals..imagine if they had digital recordings back then..I mean...they would have sounded even super....Now even if I want to sing..I can come up with average song..I mean make it listenable..lol....

no wonder.... NIMA RUMBA !!!

Robin N' Looza or Robin and the new Revolution.

The reason why I enjoy Robin and his band's songs is they talk about what is happening around us in Lyrics. Their lyrics is not filled with cheesy lines, like most of the nepali songs. And their music stands out, as compared to rest of the nepali musicians mostly pop singers. It might sound a bit like western music, but what the hell someon'e got to be different and it is time for a change from those goody goody, love songs with piano beats. We've had the same kind of rock bands in Nepal come and go and I don't think any of them have stood around longer and have influenced more people than Robin's bands. And besides, he is a good front man. Today, a singer just does not go on the stage sing and walk away, she'he puts on a show, entertains the crowd, tries to connect with them.

Well the question seems to be who is the favourite singer not just the pop singer for the year 2004.And that could be anyone pop singer or folk singer or simply some classic or ghazal singer.Good singers are those who touches u inside without touching u outside. If you guys havent heard this album "Moment of Bliss" then please do.There is this singer called "Ani Choying Dolma" Myaan she rocks. Listening her songs are like feeling a fresh wind in warm weathers or feeling a sun in winter. It will just swipts your heart. So for me there can be no any better then "Ani choying Dolma" fot the year 2004 favourite singer.
