Hi, Pokhreli bro n sis. i want to know whether famous "DAANFE CULTUREL CLUB" still exist or not? I am asking this cuz i am trying to make a small documentary about nepali folk dance. They are the best on that field. Once i watched them when i was in Nepal their programme was awesome. I really enjoy it. Looking for speedy response.

Time passed so fast, pattai paiyena. I was in Fishtail lodge in 1994. I was fortunate to see the program package by Danfe Club. It was so good. I don't think that they would have stopped. Well, that brand name should not go out of Pokhara. We must preserve it. How? I am sure they are doing well by providing package service to Hotels. If anyone has any updates, please keep it posted. Hey, what about having "Pokhara Interest Group" in internet. GP Pokhara-18

Pokhara Discussion Forum was supposed to attract Peoples from Pokhara. Unfortunately, it could not attract any real discussion. One reason may be because there are not any real activities in Pokhara: everyday looks the same. As everything is concentrated in Kathmandu. Biz gone because of regular Bandha, and political vandalism..... Still, slowly Pokhara is moving ahead. If you want to have some details on Fewa Lake side, you can contact one Cyber Friend of mine. I had never seen him in real world, but, he is in my buddy list in MSN Messenger. He has Cyber Cafe in Fewa lake side area. He is a nice guy. His brother is active in Pokhara Cyber Association (http://www.pokhara.biz was supposed to be their website but, due to some technical problem they could not make a real move) . Anyway try him at the email address given at http://www.pokhara.biz/ If you can not contact him, then send me an email at gpokh@yahoo.com, I can pass your email to him. GP

Not from Pokhara, though I feel I am. Lived there for a while. Went to Jana Priya, worked in Lake side, took tourists on a boat (even nepales), gorgeous mountain views, met awesome friends. Hoping to go back soon again.

Last I heard, Danfe Kala Mandir was no more in Bagar. Is Captain Min Bahadur Gurung, the founder, still alive? However, the troupe used to perform at hotels for the tourists. Anyway, here are a couple of interesting Pokhareli sites: 1. Pokhareli Yuva Sanskrit Parivar: http://www.poyusap.org/ 2. Pokhara.com: http://www.pokharacity.com/index.htm - if you are lucky, you MAY find someone in Pokhara to chat with.

The http://www.PokharaCity.com/ is terrific. By staying in Pokhara, the PokharaCity.com family is doing a terrific and wonderful job to enhance the image of Pokhara in Cyberspace. Its a good job. They should improve the discussion forum a bit more, configuration so that it is easier to find what discussion topic is hot and what can be filtered out as it happens in Sajha.com They can have lesson from Sajha.com It does not mean I am asking them to copy, but, its not bad idea to get good idea from something that is working so great.
