well, Jaaypu.. I have not seen Mt. Everest restaurant anywhere on Bloor St yet, but I know there is one Nepali restuarant on Younge St. At this point I should presume Casey00's statement to be correct.
By the way, there used to be Mt. Everest restaurant on Davis st. I guess (if I'm not inaccurate) in Evanston, just north of Chicago in Illinois, US.

And Casey00 what on the earth do you do hanging around Duffrin Mall all the time. I dont believe you are a high school guy. So far, I have seen only high school people hang around DUFFRIN mall all the time.
When right time comes I will let you know who I'm and by the way, I'm relatively a newcomer to Canada having spent less than a year in Canada by now and I'm almost mid 20.

Well jyapuu...it almost appears like you started that restuarant ha ha..ha he. Anyway, thanks for letting me the address of the restuarant. I guess it must around that Korean town between Christie and Bathurst. Since you have given the full address and tel. no. as well may be I guess I should go on some weekend when I'm free to eat some great Nepali food.

Well, being a former Kathmanduite how can I forget KTM style "momocha". I would love to have KTM style momocha over there if they serve it,if not, I will try some newari style food.

I wish we could bring Nepathya to Toronto. To my experience,it is bizzarely fun and
amazingly exciting to dance (of course beer kha ko sur ma..ha ha ha) to the tunes as nepali band preform so far away from Nepal. In August 2002, I attended 1974 AD band and Deep Shrestha preform at Northwestern University Law School auditorium in downtown Chicago. It was simply mindblowing experience. The craziest thing to see was the fact that ppl were dancing even to the sad tunes of Deep Shrestha's songs. The show ended 2 in the morning after going for straight 6 hours of fun.

To my understanding,we need to have large number of young ppl to pursuade them to come in TO. I strongly hope to see it happen someday.

Some weeks ago some sources tell me (though I'm not sure at all because this is a second hand information) that there was a Nepali Band called "Mandala" or something like that preformed at Tibetan Kalachakra Puja in May.

Netaa Ji,

You dont have to be a HS student to hang around in Dufferin Mall..people work there ..get it lol..Sorry to say this..but people really love to jump into weird conclusions...

Anyway..there is a restaurant on yonge as well...plus there is one restaurant called Everest ...close to Much Music....but I believe it is owned by Tibetans...

Anyway..I see it highly unlikely that big named bands would be willing to come to Toronto..I heard somewhere that 1974 A.D is planning to visit but the money and all the drama could make it impossible...till then lets all enjoy Canadian music..:)

Well, Casey00...I never ever presumed that you were a HS student and your prior posts since many months does not indicate in anyway to draw myself in any presumtion like that. To my understanding, the reason people be around Duff Mall all the time is either they work there if not they hang around Duff Mall all the time for no reason like HS people. Unfortunately I had no prior knowledge that you work there and I hardly saw or met any Nepali guy who works there though I'm a regular visitor to Wal Mart, No Frills and other fasionware shops at Duffrin Mall. Anyway the mystery is solved now. Good for you.

So sad to hear that the money makes all the difference about 1974 AD stuff.

About Candian music...on Canada Day there was a concert at the park just off the Queen W. and Queensway. on lakeshore. There was a guy who was preforming "Cuts like a knife" by Bryan Adams. The funny thing was his appearance looked so much like Bryan Adams that I felt odd at Bryan Adams giving a free preformance. Coincidently I happened to reach there axactly when that guy was preforming Bryan Adams song....Later in the show we were pounded by so much of country music repeadedly that my head was going nuts. I saw myself wearing cowboy hat heading home on wild horse.. ha ha

yea Netaa Ji...

its all cool..the mystery is solved...anyway the money seems to be the one and only problem plus the hassle of getting things done...I for one don't have the energy to go through all this drama...and I guess the same sentiment is shared amoong many people...

Anyway ..did you happen to go Much music award? ..I went there last time..well I am so waiting for free concert to happen lol....there was one nickelback concert like a year ago but couldnt make it..it was somewhere downtown..anyway i was also in Lakeshore on July 1st for Nepali picnic thingy.

Great..I guess a consensus is building up among young Sajhaites of Toronto for to have a popular nepali band from Nepal come to TO or GTA and preform among us.

Sounds encouraging at this point.
