I have play with galaxy tab and it really sucks! My friend who got galaxy x series mobile phone says its hangs a lot too !

Motorola seems very promising with Android 3.0 Honeycomb XOOM . but there is a lot time to wait for both software and hardware !

Blackberry got its Playbook and i think  they will be too late on this tech Game! Nobody goona wait so long since there are 100s kind of tablet in market !

Apple is always winner with his own iPad , which started tablet fever in market . It is said that Apple is helding conference to announce iPad 2 with two camera and better screen resolution. Once i read on news on CNN , Steve met CEO of Adobe too !! who explain about Flash to Steve !! ( I will post source soon i got it )

Seems like you are another apple fanboy.  Who lacks argument all you can say is galaxy tab sucks.....that sucks........apple is the best.

If you think apple is better you should say why apple is better. I have worked with both apple and galxy tabs.  I think in both are good but galaxy tabs have a lot more advantage than apple.  Facts like it has camera, have flash player .  As far as i know ipad works in wifi, but samsung works in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3 G etc.  It has allowed users more than one way to connect. Also if you are outside may be you can use your mobile phone sim as a source  of internet.  

AS far as memory is concerned, ipad has a built in memory. galaxy tab has an expendable memory. So you can always increase the memory of your tablet in galaxy tab.

I pad do have a better screen. Galaxy tab has more flexibility as far as moving around is concerned in terms of weight.

I am not saying Ipad is bad.  The product is awsome. but it is expensive and does not offer any significant advantage over other.  I happen to use  a new tablet called Advent Vega. The mere fact that it is half price than Ipad and in terms of performance it is second to none. Infact, i connect it to television because it has HDMI connection. WHOLE FAMILY CAN WATCH YOUTUBE IN TELEVISION.  It comes with 4GB memory, but you can easily increase the memory by micro sd card.

Also vega comes with dual core processor. So it can play HD video without any juddering. Fantastic speed.  However, viewing angle is slightly restricted. But with that price, who can complain.

Here is galaxy tab vs Ipad. Although few specs of ipad has changed recently. like Ram has increased to 512 mB. Similarly there have been few improvements in galaxy tab too.  But most of the specs are as given below.

First of all I am not apple fan boy !! I don't use iPhone too ! I have Newest blackberry which cost same like iPhone 4 and I choose it instead of iPhone ! I love windows computer too, Mac is expensive and useless for me coz most of the software I use doesn't support Mac and if I want Mac supportive, I have to pay very more!

I just have one iPod from apple. iPad has 3G version too with ATT ! But like samsung galaxy x it's expensive with data package ! You can buy iPad without data plan , you don't have to hang on data package for two years!
Most of the case we don't need data plan too, I have Internet at work , I have Internet at home , gps in my car so why do I need expensive data plan!!! Waste of money only!!
Screen resolution is not so good on galaxy!
I read 28 reviews on galaxy from it's web site and most of them were saying it's not as they expected and will not recommend to friends!
Market for galaxy x is same as for other smart phone so most of the apps doesn't work on big screen! iPad has it's own app store build for iPad only!
Talking about hardware itself apple hardware is better than Samsung as my personal experience ( my two year old iPod never hang but my friends galaxy x mobile hangs everytime he tries to watch preloaded avatar))
There are some defects of iPad I know , as you say expandable memory, output, input etc but wait for lil bit of time and you will got that too!

 Well, Motorola said its new tablet - Xoom - is based on Android Honeycomb.  So, this may prove to be the first real competition for iPad.  Previously, the Android based tablets, including the one from Samsung, were merely the enlarged version of Android phones.  I hear there are more than 100 tablets being presented at CES.  So, I am sure there will be a plethora of choices later this year if you are in the market for tablet computer.

But I am still leaning towards iPad, actually iPad 2 whenever it comes out later this quarter, not so much because of the hardware itself but because of the ecosystem that Apple has created surrounding its mobile products.  Just like iPod became so popular not because of the hardware itself but because what was available in iTunes, I believe iPad will reign supreme, at least for a short term, because of the sheer number of iPad specific apps that are available right now.

My 2 cents.  Feel free to disagree (but without being disagreeable please).

Buy Nook Color and root it. it's only 250 and it has good stuff packed in. you can't go wrong with that.

Now that Verizon allows its iPhone4 a hotspot capability, iPad is my choice.  But I will wait for iPad2 which is due out in just few months.

As I said before,  I don't think there is a true iPad competitor right now in the market.  Nook, Kindle are mostly single function instrument, i.e. eBook reading.  There isn't any Android OS for tablets out yet.   Motorola keeps harping about its tablet called Xoom which is based on Honeycomb which is Android's OS specifically for tablets.  But here's the rub, Google has not released Android Honeycomb yet and nor has it set a release date.

This is real truth , Motorola droid was first phone to stand very strong against iPhone. Other phone cames with label of iPhone compititor and vanished without facing customers too (LOL).

Motorola XOOM can be real and one only strong compititor for iPad ! 
 
About Nook , i don't even think its a tablet ! Its ebook reader !

Take  Advent vega if you are prepared to do small work once you buy. If you are a tablet freak you can make advent vega a great one better than ipad in half a price. It does not come with Android market. However, you can download android market from modaco.com.  After that you can have access to all the google android facilities.

It is also great to watch HD video as it is 16:9  10 inch screen. You can easily connect tablet to tv and watch it like a television.

  I can tell you by my experience.  I have advent vega . My girlfriend has Ipad and she is ipad freak.   She personally like to watch videos on iplayer.  When she found out that my vega plays flash and plays iplayer she is asking for exchange with mine tablet. Add to that it also has a camera , so  you can use a camera while talkling on skype.  Also download a software called " Kindle for Android" and use it as a kindle to read free ebooks.

Only thing it is behind ipad as per my experience is a viewing angle.  But even viewing angle is not that bad.  It does everything an ipad does and more  and comes with a year of manufacturing warranty.

It has a dual core processor. Ipad and galaxy tab i belive still works in single core. Thats why loadingwebsites and videos is extermely fast.
