harvesterofsorrow,

i think before tackling the big question u have, u should have following assumptions in place:

1. world is not a fair place

2. Life is not fair either.

3. Jasko lathi, usko bhainsi

4. Victors write History.

The land of Buudha, why is there no peace in Nepal then? That is my counter question.

Our Hindu/Buddhist belief has its own rudimentary flaws to begin with, hence we are raised that "in order for you to live in peace, you should live and let live" But how practical is that? Sounds good in terms of philosophy, but primitive in practicality.

The answer to your question, why do they kill

Si vis pacem, para bellum

It means if you want peace, be prepared for war. A stronger person is less likely to be bullied than a weak person ( peaceless, like Nepal) . Does it make sense? Is it logical? Hell yes.

"if you want peace, be prepared for war".
I guess this is the answer I got from you and I simply believe this notion and belief is moving us towards death and destruction. Everyone wants to be powerful and that is and was the sole reason why all wars occured but my question is, is it right for this notion to continue?

Wasn't the UN esablished to check this and look at it now. What does it do all but what the US asks for. The United States is in soo much debt and I dunno much abt the economy but from a layman's perspective believe this was the leading factor for recession. They owe so much but to whom? They control eveything so you believe we ought to do what they say? If they decide and declare that there are weapons of mass destruction in some other country then we all should just be numb and deaf and let it happen?

about your counter question of nepal being a land of gautam buddha and not being peace , this I believe is what i was indirectly reflecting to and am too perplexed by this bizzare situation.
