AAAA, please check this website, hopefully this will help you. http://this.isfrom.us/pages/parents-invitation or simply google it. There are so many blogs related to the parents invitation.

So far I know, following documents are needed:

  • Letter to Embassy asking the consular to issue visitor visa to your parents
  • Invitation Letter to Parents
  • Affidavit of Support (I-134)
  • A Certificate showing your relation to your parents (with pictures)
  • Employment Letter (with your salary, bonuses, when you started working with them etc.)
  • Bank Statement (ask bank to provide you a letter for immigration purpose)
  • Tax Return Documents (If you have filed any)
  • Copies of recent Pay Stubs (Probably 3-4 pay stubs)
  • Copy of H1-B Documents (not sure if original is required or a copy will work)

Your parents will have to show the evidence that they have strong family ties in Nepal and will return back after the visit in interview.

Hope this helps.

My parents recently received a 5 year multiple visa recently. This is what I submitted:
  • Letter to Embassy asking the consular to issue visitor visa to your parents
  • Invitation Letter to Parents
  • Notarized Affidavit of Support (I-134)
  • Employment Letter (salary, start date, title)
  • Bank Statement
  • Tax Return Documents (last 2  years)
  • Copies of recent Pay Stubs (last 2 pay stubs)
  • Copy of H1-B
It seemed like they did look at these documents before the interview. They also asked if I had been back to Nepal after my visit.

Don't worry, submit all the documents and you'll be fine.

Hi I am always confused with this part...

What is this tax return document is ??

I always got W2 on which they deduct the tax from my paycheck. I file 1040 NR /R each time and send the copy of W2 to them. And I didn't get any receipt from them And thats what I am doing for last 2 years.

So What is this Tax return document is  ??? Is the my copy of W2.

Thanks in advance

A tax return document is either a 1040EZ,  or a 1040 with schedules A and B.

These forms are printed on green, blue, or pink paper.

My parent's just got visa to come here. All I send them was a letter of invitation. Tax return for last year and a letter from my employer stating how long I have worked here. And they got a five year multiple entry B1/B2 visa.
