Maoist leaders have said they are prepared for 'revolt' in government, the parliament and in the streets for establishment of republic।
Speaking on the last day of the fifth plenum undergoing in the capital on Wednesday, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ said republic must be established before the constituent assembly polls।
He said the party cadres across the country must be kept ready for a ‘people’s revolt’ if the polls are not held on November 22।
Badal further said the activities of the national and international ‘conspirators’ have put a question mark on free and fair elections।
Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who leads the party in the parliament and the government, acknowledged the ineffective role of the party on both the fronts। He said the party could still stage people's revolt while remaining in the government and added that they were ready to resign en masse from the government if circumstance demand such a move.
Another leader Janardan Sharma ‘Pravakar’ said party must avoid any kinds of agreements that come in the way of declaring Nepal a republican state।

The plenum is concluding today and the party's central committee meeting will again begin Thursday to finalise the strategies for people's revolt if polls are not held। ++
