Nepal to make another Bhutan: Raju KC Message: Recent meeting in New Delhi ( India) participated by politicians, reporters and people like Devendra Raj Pandey has revealed that it was organized to discuss on the modalities of making Nepal similar to Bhutan. The attendees at the meeting even after returning from India have not stated their intent and reason for this meeting. Even a senior leader like Narayan Man Bichuke has spoken against it, who declined to attend the meting, saying, "I will not be a party to sale my nation." Why not this reported in any of the local newspapers? Aren't those so-called leaders creating a conspiracy to sale our beloved country to India under the pretext of "democracy" -- what they say "loktantra"? I urge all the Nepalis to fight against those people. Ask yourself, are we so desperate, unable, and unpatriotic to let others dictate, pressure us, and mould us as they see fit. Isn't there any sense of obligation, duty, love and patriotism left in us? Why should we accept agenda that is not in the interest of Nepal and Nepalis? I say once again - time has come to defend Nepal before it is too late. Raju KC Email: sbs_585@hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let us first begin with choosing the salesperson, who to support, Indian expert, with whom we share so tight (bit too tight), socio- cultural, physico-psycologico-spritulo-and all other bonds, and another, from a country that fancies our mountains and think every one is Nepal is aspiring to be illegal laborer in their country. Whatever, Bhutan well, they do have better gross domestic happiness, who cares even if it was achieved at the cost of ethnic wiping, glove in hand with BB's blessing. Tharoor, Moon emerge top contenders in UN Straw Poll United Nations, July 25: India`s nominee for the post of UN Secretary-General, Shashi Tharoor, and South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki Moon have emerged key contenders among the four declared candidates for the top post in the first informal poll held by the 15-member Security Council. While Tharoor got second highest endorsements after Moon in the Straw Poll held last night, Thai Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathirathai and Sri Lankan Jayantha Dhanapala got third and fourth places in the poll, diplomats said. The Straw Poll marked the beginning of the selection process which could last till October. New candidates can be introduced at any stage till the final selection is made. The new Secretary-General is to take over on January 1 next year from incumbent Kofi Annan who retires after completing two terms on December 31 this year. Under a new procedure adopted by the Council, the ballot of each candidate had three boxes "encourage," "discourage" and "no opinion." The members were expected to check one box.

Are we illegals in India, let the central government tame their sibling states and respect the dignity of Nepalese and stop harasing them. Treat us at par, and expect the same. Let those in Nepal who are busy shouting casteism and ethnism understand that, we are Nepalese, whether or not Indian state vigilante groups brand us foreigners and mistreat us. Let the government of Nepal, make it clear to their Indian counterpart and follow it. 35 ‘foreign nationals’ arrested By Our Reporter SHILLONG: In a joint raid by personnel of Byrnihat infiltration check post and Ri-Bhoi Students' Union (RBSU) members, 35 "foreign nationals" were arrested at Byrnihat on Thursday afternoon. Ten of the "foreign nationals" were Nepalese and the rest were Bangladeshi, said RBSU President B Syiemlieh. They failed to produce any valid document to prove their identity, he claimed. Later they were handed over to the police.

ugly kid aashish- 14 people died but they died because they were causing anarchy. If same thing happens in USA - more will die. Maintaining law and order is the prime duty of the govt. and I think they showed max. restraint in handling the mob.
