BISHKEK ? Kyrgyzstan eased through to the final rounds of the 2006 AFC Youth Championship, defeating Nepal 2-0 at the Spartak Stadium in Bishkek on Monday to complete a 3-0 aggregate victory.

Leading by a goal after a 1-0 win in Kathmandu in the first leg of their Group F qualifier last week, the central Asian side extended their advantage after just 14 minutes with a goal by Pavel Sidorenko.

Ildar Amirov struck nine minutes from the end to seal the victory for the Kyrgyzstan U-20 side, who progress to the final rounds in India next October.

Kyrgyzstan are the 12th side to book their place in the final rounds of the continental tournament. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Tajikistan, Iran, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan and reigning champions Korea Republic secured top spot in their respective groups last weekend to join hosts India in the competition.

Three qualifying groups remain to be settled. The Group I matches between Malaysia and Myanmar take place next month while Group D, featuring Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar, and Group G, which involves Sri Lanka, Australia and Turkmenistan, have yet to be scheduled.

An additional spot will go to the winner of a playoff the best second-placed teams from the East Asian and ASEAN region groups.
