Second global NRN meet kicks off
Kathmandu, October 7
Over 400 Non-resident Nepalis on Friday kicked off the Second Global NRN Conference at the Birendra International Convention Centre in Kathmandu on Friday.
The conference attended by NRNs from 35 different countries was inaugurated by Crown Prince Paras by lighting the traditional oil lamp, the panas.
According to the organisers, the Conference will mainly focus on five agendas ? the NRNs' role in restoring sustainable peace in the country, establishing a $100 million Nepal Investment Fund, addressing problems faced by Nepali workers in foreign countries, widening the network of the NRNs in various countries and developing a good image of Nepal in foreign countries.
On the occasion, the coordinator of the Conference, Suraj Vaidya, presented a memento to the Crown Prince.
The Conference will conclude on Sunday.
