I am starting a new thread which is not quite related with Nepal. But as a nepali in US, you guys don't think that the governement in general are way too Euro-centric and too insanely focused on the Middle East while pretty much ignoring China. I think they are doing big mistake. Knuckleheads flying jets into buildings are certainly a problem, but so is the guy eating your lunch.
I found one article which is very interesting and have arised hard hearted and ground-shaking questions about future of China and future of United States.

cool XXX, thanks for posting this article, I really enjoyed reading it. China's rising does threaten jobs in the US, but it is benefiting the multinationals and the corporations, making the rich even richer.
Also, as the article pointed out there is a co-dependent relationship between the US and China each fueling the other's consumption and interests. Maybe the ones losing out could be other Asian countries and developing countries competing with China for a market share in the US

the way of doing business in US has been changed now... China and even India's are gaining those advantages. But Nepal haven't done anything far. There was a hope when Pasmina Industry was in boom.
But i think if Nepal will even try to export outfit cloth products to US and europe then there will be still good hope for Nepalese economy because after India, other south asian countries like bangladesh and srilanka has already entered in the US markets then why Nepal can't do that......

The two biggest concerns for the west at present as declared by the western intellectuals are: 1) The rise of China and 2) The middle east crisis that is harboring muslim hatred of the west, specially against the Americans.
Both of these factors are against the American interest and hence they generate the biggest attention in the media. US is exploring every measure to curb them down but so far has desperately failed. Western media has been used in calculative approach since the last decade to look after the events unfolding in China and THE Middle east. SO WHATEVER HAPPENS IN NEPAL WILL PRIMARILY BE OF NO CONCERN TO THE US. hence do not expect REAL HELP FROM THE US TO RESTORE DEMOCRACY IN NEPAL. its THE NEPALESE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD BE CAREFUL THEMSELVES, FOR THEIR RIGHTS ARE NOW IN THE HAND OF KING GYANENDRA. CHALLENGE HIM SOONER OR LOOSE ALL OF YOUR LIBERTIES. THE MORE YOU WAIT, THE MORE DIFFICULT IT WILL BE TO GET BACK YOUR RIGHTS.
