What is a soulmate to you?

Do you or have you had one?

Do you think you only have one in life?

Is your mate supposed to be your soulmate?

Actually, this is a hard question for me to answer completely, too.

I used to think that you only had one soulmate in life--that God brought one person like that to you to spend the rest of your life with. Now I think that you can have more than one soulmate--or that, perhaps, the previous one(s) weren't really your true soulmate.

I see a soulmate as someone who understands you so well--sometimes to the depths of your soul (thus, "soulmate"). Someone whom you just "click" with and, after a certain point, knows what you're going to say and how you're thinking even before you express it. You have a similar vision for your lives--together and individually. It's like you've found that person to walk alongside with you for the rest of your life.

I believe that if you've found your soulmate, you will know--and you are truly blessed. No one can match us perfectly. That's what relationships are for: to work out the differences and grow to love and appreciate the person as a whole--good and bad.

Let me ask one more question. . . how many people that are and stay together have found their soulmate.

I won't even address the God issue here, but what is the probability that out of the billions of people on this earth, you will find "the one."

That is the myth associated with romance, love and relationships. I believe in the three, but I do not believe the myth. But not unlike other myths, it does serve a purpose. It gives us something to look forward to.

I like the previous answer that a whole bunch of people come close and the rest is timing and how you grow together. If the timing is wrong, then two people who might otherwise be good together will not work.

Growing to respect/admire/and sacrifice for someone is the backbone of the myth. That growth and committment that follows is what is important. The myth just makes you feel better about something that is already good.

I believe in soulmate. soulmate to me is the one who you can depend on, trust, love and respect. I have a soulmate that god made for me -- only for me. We are very different from each other: she likes to talk and socialize, whereas I am of a quite and lonely nature. .. the list goes on. Our differences drew us closer, and our differences adds spice to our lives. we argue and fight only to make our love deeper. Yes, I am pretty sure that she was the one for me, she is the one for me and she will be the one for me, forever -- atleast in this life.

What is soulmate? The mate who is bounded with soul.......................well, there is lot of soul but where is the mate?/////////////////////sometimes u feel like she the soul mate but she is not......................I think the way i look at is when u get soulmate , u know what is it? how much u want her. For me i get bored with one gal within week...........the maximum i went for 3 yrs which I thought was love and that gal was pulling my string coz i didnot even sag a gal even i got coz i was honest........she is not at all....................Honestly, There is Soul mate but u got to wait............u will get.........one.....................either u go to soul, korea and meet the mate..........u take u r soul and go to austrlia and see mate............that is soulmate...............

The problem is we always go around the circle but we never try to go across the diameter to reach her...........it takes us while to realise she is the one............she can be a best fren next to you.......she can be a childhood fren..............she can be a waitress in rest................she can be a expat in business suit...................she can be a hooker standing in street......who knows

thereis no such thing as soulmmate gyz. every gal has weakness and noone is perfect. i am going to get a soulmate in whoever my mother chooses. I will be by her weakest and saddest days so that she will be by mine. for the rest of tha life.

well the thing is man i believe there are soulmates for all............. i read bridge across forever by richard bach and that has strenghtened by belief in love and soulmates...altho' ppl who have read that book and one by the same author will be saddened by the fact that richard and leslie broke up..............life's like that i guess.........but hat doesn't mean u don't have a soulmate....maybe u have more than one huh?

I think the word itself is so bogus to justify. I don't believe in soulmate atleast at this point. I don't know I may gradually get matured enough to understand other's soul and may notice that she is my mate. Wait! may be not, huh. But I cannot claim her to be my a soulmate at that point either, I would rather say we are just one-another needs not exactly a soulmate. Thats good enough, at least some who see our relation think we are each other soulmate --hehehe. A "SOULMATE" sounds just good as jargon, when we are fully satisfied with each other, when there is happiness and tranquility. When one does false judgment that his/her diginity has been tampared, then there would be no more soul, no more mate. That is how people are - SO SELFCENTERED, and there are lots of catches and condition, to be somebody else SOULMATE, else you will be stamped - VOID.

Exception apply thou. My statement is in general.

Haha, well when two souls are so much bound to each other they start mating??? It's not physical for sure, anything beyond that is out of my imagination. Yet I do believe in soulmates, why? Okay, let me ask you something, do you believe that the Universe was so much smart that it created itself, it created everything it needed from energy to time to galexy and everything or you simply believe God created the Universe. Well the former explanation is so vague that I'd rather believe that the God created the Universe. So, to me, soulmate is something like "God created the Universe". got it? no? haha.. neither do I. ;)
