to all those eradic pessimistic people, who deny to accept that the life of pratistha is very important to many people. making jokes and creating sensitive comments not only frenzies her family but all of us who are concerned about her health and whereabout. i would be extremely glad if she or her body is found. so, if you are not concerned with this case, at least do not make such comments. having lived in estes park for quite some time, i behemothly request the community there to provide all things necessary to find her. and i really appreciate the work the community has done there. i hope, she is found.

Update on missing student Pratistha Budhathoki www.nepaliaawaz.com 10 days after she went missing, it has been revealed that a shopkeeper informed the police last week he had seen Pratistha Budhathoki at the Prospect Mountain. Pratistha's credit card record also verified that it had been used to buy a ticket for the aerial tramway to go to Prospect Mountain on Thursday, 22 June. "It is sort of like going up to Manakamana on the cable car," explains Manish, who has been living in Estes Park since 1997, the small tourist community from where Pratistha has been missing since 18 June. Local media in Denver have also confirmed reports that Police search dogs detected Pratistha's scent although she remains missing. Read the full report on Pratistha's disappearance in the latest issue of Nepali Aawaz.

Police is saying, "she used her credit card" instead of saying "her credid card was used". I am slowly concluding that it is a runaway case, though other theories such as someone forcing her to do that , etc. can also be possible.

I feel that this thread should have been only a sticky. Some of the posts seem to be a bit too insensitive. Poor kid, I feel so sorry for her.

Looking at the information so far about Prathistha, I suspect that somebody may have kidnapped her. In the news from the link above "Police have said Budhathoki does not own a car" and at the same time somebody used her credit card to buy gas 1 hr later. This is only one instance. I hope the police will proceed with the investigation keeping in mind that foul play may be involved.

http://www.9news.com ESTES PARK - Police said Thursday they found a missing foreign exchange student's restaurant uniform neatly folded on a rock. Additional Resources... Missing student's phone used after she disappeared International student missing Pratistha Budhathoki, 20, of Nepal went missing June 18 when she left for her job at the "Munchin' House." Wednesday Estes Park Police found her Subway uniform, where she also worked, on a rock less than a mile from the store at the top of the Aerial Tramway. She was not wearing the Subway uniform the day she disappeared. Credit card records show a purchase was made on Buhathoki's card four days after she went missing at the Aerial Tramway. A clerk confirms he saw her that day. Authorities also say someone used Budhathoki's cell phone on the morning of June 20 to check her voicemail. Earlier this week, authorities intensified their search for her on Prospect Mountain, just south of downtown Estes Park. Budhathoki had come to Estes Park from St. Cloud University in Minnesota for summer work. Police say they do not suspect foul play in her disappearance.

18,374 views so far. So many of us are concerned on this mysterious disappearance of a fellow nepali. Now, I'm seeing a great sense of community among us. I was thinking if every one of us can write her an email reminding that we do care and want her safe return, she might change her mind. Didn't the authorities mention that she is checking her emails? We gotta get some catchy title just to make sure she won't toss it into the trashbin thinking of junk. A little intro about the writer might help It will give her a feel that she knows the writer in some way. Said these, let's craft our letters. The problem is............. who knows her email add??? Do any of her frens or families buy this idea and wanna carry on with it? Let's do it.

I don't like that idea of sending emails to her. All of sudden, if normal person disappears, there must be an underlying problem that we may not know. She is not a kid. She is a young lady who came to us for further study. Her friends said she was normal until 2 am before she disappeared, she seemed very normal and she never had a habit of such things in past. I am sure her family and friends left several voice mail or email or text message already that did not work either so I don't know how good it will do sending email from unknown people. I am more concern about the publicity she is getting, she may have never thought about it, so she might be more disappointed. I just want Prathistha to come or call her friends or relative tell what is going on, I am sure they will understand. They will help every way. She has a strong supporting family and friends they will understand in any circumstances. She just has to tell them whatever it is.

Okie, dokie. As some fella suggested it might not be a good idea to flood her with email. Might be a wise idea. If by any chance if you are following up with this thread @ sajha. I'm speaking to you Pratistha. In this nation of such an immense freedom, things often don't work out as we expect. I was a poor man, not that a rich man now, in pursuit of that happiness that you and everyone was seeking. Hungry for a better life, dream to own my own car, a cell phone, a clean surrounding n environment to live in and the list goes on and on. o yea, even hot shower every morning was a luxury. Got almost all of those wishes. Unfortunately, i never realized wishes had quadrupled by the time they were fulfilled. Still, running n running a never ending marathon to catch up with those damned evergrowing wishes. N there is that pressure from everywhere to judge you by what you got n own, what you say or do or at least we perceive that way. I get so frustrated n mad at times. I vent it at my work, at school, with my frens(got barely a handful), everywhere i open my mouth. There are umpteen times ppl say I act strange. I don't know why they say it. Am I doing something they always wanted but never found enough guts to carry on with? I just seclude myself frm everyone but still it can't go forever. Then, I realize i'm just being dysfunct and slipback into that network that feeds u in pressure. Stress seems inevitable though can b minimized to some degree, one of my psychology prof keeps saying. Pratistha, if you were just taking your one of those times off from this crowd of demanding fleshes, it's perfectly understandable. I understand it and everyone will. It's perfectly a normal thing. Once u r relaxed n relieved, just report back again. Whatever some people might say or think, you just did something everyone desires either consciously or subconsciously. Everyone can relate to your situation with theirs even when they don't express it. It's just that some are good at faking smiles rather than acting on their true emotions. You can count on me in anyway u can realte. Write me through sajha if u get a chance n feel like. We might be able to find more things in common. Let's click it. P.S. I'm assuming, u have done this out of your own will not that any foul play is involved.
