First of all, don't get wrong idea from my name. I know some of you here are expert in Canadian permanent residency process. I am just about to apply for it as skilled worker at Buffalo center, and I need your help.. please. Right now, I am going through Appendix of checklist, and I found a few things confusing. Proof of English: I got my bechelor's degree and master's degree in the U.S. What is that, written submission of detailing your trainning, in and use of, English? Official documentation of education in English? Don't education certificates from the US universities prove my English proficiency? Police certificate and clearances: I have been in the US about 10 years. I have a recent police report from Nepal... Now how am I supposed to get one from the US? I didn't understand this part: submit original fingerprints directly to the authorieis conducting the police checks? Can somebody elaborate on this part? I would really appriciate this.

On health check issue: What is the main motive of the health check? Are they only trying to avoid the "saruwa rog"? or are they trying to filter based on other medical conditions as well to avoid long term medical/insurance costs. The reason is this - One of my friends's dependent has a sort of medical condition which is not an infectious disease however is going to be with her throughout her life. Long term cost could be high for the Canada government for her insurance and treatment. On this ground, do you think there is a chance for Canada to deny the othewise perfect coupld PR? Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, India does not issue Police clearance certificate. The Canadians know this and they will not ask for it. Even if they do ask, just tell them that India does not issue the certificate to anyone.
