Let's discuss about the TPS extension that is expected to happen today (till the end of day). The following notes should be considered:
1. Federal register schedule of publication notices: 8:45 AM, 11:15 AM and 4:15 PM ET. (not published yet)
2. The sites that need to be followed:

3. If TPS is not extended by DHS, it will be extended at least 6 months counting from Dec 24, 2016 for smooth termination so that people can reinstate their original immigration status.
4. If TPS is extended, the EAD will be automatically extended up to 6 months and can be used to work with the same expired EAD but needs to apply for new within this period.
 5. I will also discuss about required documents for re-registering TPS later in this thread, if it is extended.
Please let me know if you need any information about this. I will share whatever I know. I have been working/following/discussing/conferencing on this issues for few months.

@ sajha_admin, I applied for the AP last time around and was granted with no issue. I did not present any additional papers or proofs for my visit. In the section in I-131 I simply stated the reason(s) (family visit) and was approved. Hope that helps.

My TPS is still pending. Can I apply for renewal at all before last year's application is approved?

Documents to be sent:

I-821
I-765 (even if not applying for EAD)
G-1145
Passport photo page copy
I-94 copy
I did not apply for EAD, and do not have previous EADs or any notices related to that
TPS application receipt notice (Form I-797C, Notice of Action) - Replace with approval notice if you have one
Check with total amount for each related fees (EAD and Biometrics)
Photo
Bank Statements or Utility bills for residency verification

If TPS is pending, you do not have to reapply. Your initial application will be considered for re-registration.

$465 for Bio and EAD in one check
Form 821 for TPS
I765 with category as a (12) previously I did c(13) I think with copy of OPT EAD
G1145 form for text notification
TPS approval Notice copy front and back
I94 copy which I got from DHS online

I see a lot of people mentioning copies of TPS approval notice to be sent for re-registration, but I have checked multiple sites and do not see any sites where it says you need a copy of your approval form. The only thing it says on the EAD application and any website is that you have to send EAD copy from last time. So my understanding for this is, to re-register,

Completed I-821
Completed I-765
Copy of EAD
EAD and BIometrics fee.

@fdpower: Bro, can you help me with question 11 on I-765? Do we need to include all the EADs we've ever applied for or just the one that we received through TPS last year? If we need to include multiple then how do we do it? There is field restriction in the form.
2. Did you include both your passport numbers for 25c on form I-821? Which one do we need to include? My initial TPS filing had the old one on it but then I have a new passport now and the old one has been cancelled.

@iAkhilleus I don't know if this is the correct answer but this is what i did. I put in the info of TPS EAD on the I-765 itself and then attached another letter with the information about another EAD. Then I also attached the front and back of the 2nd EAD like I did for the TPS EAD.

Hope others can chip in what they did as well or share if they find the correct answer.

I put the old passport and just the one EAD from TPS from last year.
Regardless of this I don't think Passport matters to them. Passport just proves nationality expired or not. I sent them the old expired passport. I think the TPS EAD and TPS approval document should suffice. ...don' think there is setting stone on what documents are needed.

Also i think a lot of people send their docs early so if any of you are waiting around hurry up..
Last year i think I was the first person to received TPS ..I send the doc the day it was opened...and was approved in a month.

I don't see any problem there, that should be enough that's what the form instruction says.

it's important you send at least one of the documents so that it will be easy for them to process your case in a timely manner.
