Kathmandu, December 21 - Cadres of the Maoist affiliated Unions this afternoon attacked the offices and personnel of Himal Media. According to reports Maoists affiliated Hotel and Restaurants workers union cadres attacked Himal Media publisher Kunda Dixit and Managing Director Aushutosh Tiwari among others. They also vadalised the offices of the publications. There are reports of injuries to journalists and other personnel of the publications.

आज नेपालको यो दुर्गति नेपे जस्ता अफुलाई बुद्धिजिबी भन्न रचाउने तर विश्वको ईतिहास नपढी हतियार बोकेका अप्राधीले देश बिकास गर्छन् भनेर बुझ्ने अबुझ जस्ताले गरदा भएको हो। हिजो सम्म येहि नेपे साझामा माओवादीको कृयाकलाप र भविस्य को रणनिती ठीक छैन भन्नेहरुलाई राजाबादी भनेर गाली गर्थ्यो। एही श्याल अज मुख फेरेर माओवादीको बिपक्छमा लेख्न थालेको छ। एदी नेपाल लाई कसै बाट खत्रा छ भने त्यो हो  नेपे, देवेन्द्र पाण्डे, खगेन्द्र सितिउला, सुबोध प्यकुरल, गोपाल सिवकोती जस्ता हरु बाट छ। यी श्याल हरुलाई  लाउनै पर्छ। इनै चोर् हुन देश लाई माओवादी ल्याएर आमूल परिवर्तन गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने। मुलुकलाई माओवादी जस्तो बर्बरिकहरुले बिकास गर्या, मानब अधिकार पालन गर्या कहाँ थियो र यि चोर् आज फेरी ठीक हुन माओवादीले प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता हनन गर्‍यो भनेर चिच्यौदै छन। यि चोर् हरुलाई जैलेनि अफु ठीक हुन पर्ने। माओवादी भन्दा देश को लागि गद्दार त एनी हरु हुन। हिजो सम्म आशुतोष जि को बिरोध गर्ने नेपे आज हम्दर्दीको नाटक गर्दै छ। आशुतोष जि सँग हिम्मत छ र वहाँको काम लाई सलाम गर्नै पर्छ। यो नेपे त आफ्नो सन्तान अमेरिकामा पढएर नेपालमा माओवादी को शिक्षा प्रनाली ठीक हुन्छ भनेर कुतर्क गर्ने श्याल हो। एस्ता श्याल लाई उदाङ नपारी राम्रा मान्छे अघी लाग्न पाउदैनन।

तराईमा छ महिनामा १०० जनाको हत्या

	संयुक्त जनतान्त्रिक तराई मुक्ति मोर्चाको एउटा घटकको वार्ता टोली सार्वजनिक भएको छ

पूर्वी तराईमा गएको एक साता यता १० जना मारिइसकेका छन्।

सरकारले एउटा समूहसंग वार्ता गरेपनि दर्जनौ अरु समूहहरुसंग वार्ता हुने अझै कुनै संकेत छैन।

वार्ताको अन्यौलले यस्तो स्थिति देखा परेको मानवअधिकारकर्मीहरुको भनाई छ।

लगातार हत्या

मध्य र पूर्वी तराईका सप्तरीदेखि पर्सासम्मका आठ जिल्लाहरुमा गएको सात दिनभित्र हत्या गरिएका १० जना मध्ये राज्य पक्षबाट तीन र गैरराज्य पक्षबाट सात जना छन्।

धनुषामा एकजना कर्मचारी र एकजना सशस्त्र प्रहरी सहित पाँच जनाको हत्या भएको छ।

पर्सामा दुई जना, सर्लाही, सिराहा र सप्तरी जिल्लामा एक, एक जना मारिएका छन्।

यी क्षेत्रमा गएको छ महिनामा १०० जना मारिएको मानवअधिकारसित सम्बद्ध संगठनहरुले जनाएका छन्।

मानवअधिकारको क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत बुद्धिनारायण सहनी भन्छन, “वार्ताको अन्यौलले पनि हत्या र हिंसाको श्रृङ्खला लम्बिएको हो।"

सरकारी वार्ता टोलीले गत महिना मधेशी भाइरस किलर्ससित औपचारिक वार्ता गरेपनि अन्य संगठनहरु सित वार्ता भएको छैन।

वार्ताका लागि संयुक्त जनतान्त्रिक तराई मुक्ति मोर्चाको एउटा घटक र मधेशी मुक्ति टाइगर्सका टोली सार्वजनिक भएका छन्।

तर उनीहरुसित पनि वार्ता हुन सकेको छैन।

वार्ताको अन्यौलसंगै हत्याको श्रंखला मात्र होईन अपहरण र धम्की पनि सामान्य भएका छन्।

यसको पछिल्लो प्रमाण सोमबार वीरगंजमा देखिएको थियो।

त्यहाँ एकजना व्यापारीलाई गोली हानी हत्या गरिएको थियो।

घटनाको विरोधमा व्यापारीहरु सडकमा उत्रेका छन्।

`Himalmedia attack leader in YCL camp`

KATHMANDU: Ramesh Babu Panta, the main accused in the Himalmedia attack case, has been taking shelter in one of the YCL camps in Kathmandu since the attack on Sunday, highly-placed intelligence sources told myrepublica.com this morning.

The sources, however, declined to identify the camp where Panta has been hiding, saying revelation of his exact whereabouts would make him flee again.

It should be noted that the cabinet earlier today has already directed the Home Ministry to arrest Panta. (Details to follow)

This is pretty sad news that Maoists are targeting the fourth organ of the state “Journalism”. Whether or not the Maoist party accepts the fact, they have not inched back from their ideology. They are using “use and throw” strategies. In the current scenario, journalist from the forefront and every democracy lover from the back end should start struggle against Maoist’s Jyaddati. So, I am with you all democrats in the struggle.

 

And I like Ashutosh Tiwari’s balance and depth ridden articles. We need journalist like him. I am proud of him. But personally, I do not know who Ashutosh Tiwari is.

 

Lately I came to know about the board of directors in Himal Media. And I saw Sanjeev Raj Bhandari and Rajeev Raj Bhandari in the board of director’s list. I know these people from very close quarter. Sanjeev Raj Bhandari claims to be the fore-front, high-tech entrepreneur in Nepal. I am not sure how many of you in Sajha are aware of this; but Sanjeev Raj Bhandari manipulates engineers. He pays the least to his engineers and asks them to sign a bond of at least 3 years. So, he is still continuing the age old “bondage labor” concept when comes running his business but shamelessly claims to be new-era high-tech giant. He threatens his employees who want to leave for higher academic career, bigger opportunity. He has good network of lawyers and judges to make sure what he does is right. The bondage rule does not apply to those who are not his relatives.

 

With this background of Sanjeev Raj Bhandari, I will not be surprised if he used the same tricks in Himal Media. Ashutosh Tiwari may not know all these details and was put in forefront but the backend player (Sanjeev) is grossly wrong. The employees might have been used and manipulated by these so-called high-tech entrepreneurs.

 

But, whatever happened to the journalists -- is wrong. The culprits should be brought in to justice. Else, these Maoists may think they are the “neo king”.

 

 

Why did not they understand Ganendra payed for Kantipur attack.

-आफुलाई मन नपर्नासाथ मनपरी कर्मचारी निकाल्ने र राख्ने गर्न थालियो । राजेन्द्र दहाल बाहेक अरु कोहिपनि सम्पादक त्यहाँ लामो समय टिकेन । शिव गाउँले, कुन्दन अर्याल, सुधिर शर्मा लगायतका को भएन त्यहाँ सम्पादक ? तर कोहि लामो समय टिकेन ।

-हिमाल मेडियाले कमाउने र त्यहाँ गरिने कामको तुलनामा न्युन तलब दिईन्छ । सुबिधाको त झन नाम नलिउँ ।

-पाँच वर्ष पहिले पाँच हजार देखि सात हजार तलब लिने कर्मचारीले अहिलेपनि झण्डै उतिनै बुझ्दै आएका छन । जबकि हिमाल मेडियाका पत्रिकाहरुको नै मुल्य बढ्यो । बजार भाउ आकाशियो । अनि कर्मचारीको तलब पनि त्यहि अनुसार बढ्नु पर्थेन ?

-कर्मचारीहरुले पटक पटक माग राखे तर दिक्षित दाजुभाई (कुन्दा र कनक) ले कुनै टेर पुच्छर लगाएनन ।

-आफ्ना दुख, पिडा र मर्काको कुनै सुनुवाई नभएपछि कर्मचारीहरुलेगैरराजनितिक युनियन गठन गरे आफ्ना माग हरु पुरा गराउन। तैपनि दिक्षीत दाजुभाईले मजदुरहरुलाई तिनका माग सुन्न भेट्नपनि अस्विकार गरे। हिमाल मेडियाका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिक्रित आशुतोस तिवारीले एक महिनाभित्र माग संबोधन गर्ने आश्वासन त दिए तर गरेनन एक वर्षसम्मपनि ।

-राष्ट्रिय पर्व दशैंको मुखैमा हिमाल मेडियालाई वार्षिक एक करोड घाटा लागेको भन्दै दर्जनौं कर्मचारी निकालियो । हेर्नुस त त्यत्रो नाफ कमाउने संस्थाले उल्टो घाटा लाग्यो भनेर ढाँटेको ।

-त्यतिमात्रै हो र ? दिक्षित दाजुभाईले पत्रकारहरुलाई समेत स्थायि नुयुक्तिपत्र दिएनन । जबकि श्रमजिवी पत्रकार ऐनम पत्रकारहरुलाई स्थायि नियुक्ति पत्र नदिइ काममा लगाउन नपाइने उल्लेख छ । यसैले देखाउँदैन र दिक्षित हिमाल मेडियाले कसरि दमन र शोषण गरिरहेको छ कर्मचारी माथि भनेर ?

कति र कसरि कमाउँछ त हिमाल मेडियाले ? 

-हिमाल खबर पत्रिका, नेपाली टाईम्स र वेभ तिन पत्रिकाहरुलाई आफ्नै ब्यपारिक बिज्ञापन लगायत अन्य ब्यापारिक संघ संस्था, सामाजिक संघसंस्थाबाट वार्षिक पाँच करोडको बिज्ञापन आउँछ । दशैको बेला मैले स्नेह सायमी दाईलाई भेटेको थिएँ जो त्यहिंका प्रबन्ध हुनुहुन्थ्यो गत सालसम्म । उहाँले हिमाल मेडियामा म गएपछि वार्षिक कम्तिमा ३० लाख फाइदा गराएँ पहिलो वर्ष नै भन्नु भएको थियो । हिमाल मेडियाको खर्च वार्षिक तिन करोड मात्रै छ । अहिले खर्च कटाएर वार्षिक दुई करोड मुनाफा हुन्छ भन्छन मेडियाकर्मीहरु नै ।

-हिमाल मेडियाका तिन वटै पत्रिका महँगा हुनाले त्यसैको बिक्रिबाट पनि राम्रो पैसा उठ्छ । 

-उनीहरुले बिभिन्न दाता संघ संस्थाबाटपनि ठुलो रकम लिने गरेको मेडियाका मानिसहरुलाई राम्रै जानकारि छ । हिमालमा काम गरेका कर्मचारी श्रोतका अनुसार बिभिन्न सरकारी संघ संस्था र बाटै उनीहरुले वार्षिक एक करोड उठाउँछन्।

-आफ्ना खराब समाचारहरु नछापीदिने शर्तमा रकम त नेपालका अधिकांश नाम चलेका पत्रिकाले लिन्छन नै । त्यस्तो रकम कति आउँछ त कसरि जान्ने ? हिमालमापनि नआउनेले प्रश्नै रहेन ।

-त्यसबाहेक बिभिन्न राष्ट्रिय र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय गैह्र सरकारी संस्थाहरुबाटपनि मोटो रकम लिन्छन हिमाल मेडियाहरुले । (त्यसरि सहयोग गर्ने १७५ वटा संस्थाको सूची पुछारमा हेर्नुस)उनीहरुका खोज पत्रकारिता केन्द्र, महिला सशक्तिकरण, पत्रकार तालिम लगायतका बिभिन्न नाममा ठुलै रकम लिने गर्छन् । 

हिमाल घटनाको बास्‍तबिकता (मलाई मजदुर क्षेत्रबाट प्राप्त भएको)

1) हिमाल मिडियामा कार्यरत कर्मचारी/मजदुरहरूले गत भदौ १७ गते अखिल नेपाल छापाखाना तथा प्रकाशन मजदुर सङ्घको इकाई गठन गरेपछि विवाद सुरु भएको थियो ।

2) मजदुरहरूले अधिकारका लागि सङ्गठित हुनेबित्तिकै हिमाल मिडियाले कम्पनी घाटामा गएको भन्दै कर्मचारी कटौतीको निर्णय गरी सङ्गठनमा आबद्ध १६ जना मजदुरलाई निष्काशन गरेको थियो ।

3) सङ्गठनमा आबद्ध भएकै कारण इकाईका अध्यक्ष दीपक सङ्ग्रौला र अर्का कर्मचारी आशिष खड्कालाई हिमाल मिडियाले कात्तिक २७ गते एक सूचनाका भरमा निष्काशन गर्ने प्रयास गरेको थियो ।

4) दुवैजनालाई सरुवा गर्न नपाइने व्योहोराको पत्र श्रम कार्यालयले कात्तिक २४ गते हिमाल मिडियामा पठाएको ३ दिन नबित्दै मजदुरहरूलाई निष्काशनको प्रयास गरिएको थियो । टे्रड युनियन गठन गरेपछि कम्पनी घाटामा गएको बहाना बनाउँदै कम्पनीका कर्मचारी कटौतीको लागि अनुमति माग्दै प्रेस रजिष्ट्रारकहाँ निवेदन दिएको जनाइए पनि निवेदनविपरीत बजार शाखामा नयाँ कर्मचारी भर्ना गर्न विज्ञापन गरिएको थियो ।

5) उद्योगधन्दा र व्यवसायका रूपमा सञ्चालन गरिएका निजी सञ्चारमाध्यमहरूमा कर्मचारीहरूले कानुनसम्मत न्यूनतम सेवा सुविधा माग गर्नासाथ प्रेस स्वतन्त्रतामाथि नै हस्तक्षेप भएको गलत हौवा पिटेर प्रेसको शक्तिको दुरुपयोग गर्नसमेत मिडिया पछि नपरेको तथ्य कान्तिपुर, आप्का हाउस, समाचारपत्र, इसीआर एफएम, एचबीसी एफएमलगायतका सञ्चारमाध्यममा भएको आन्दोलनले सावित गरिसकेका छन्।

6) मजदुरहरूको सङ्गठित हुने र सामूहिक सौदाबाजी गर्ने श्रम ऐन २०४८ प्रदत्त अधिकार साथै श्रमजीवी पत्रकार ऐन पहिलो संशोधन २०६४ को दफा ३४ क मा उल्लेखित पत्रकार मजदुरहरूको टे्रड युनियन अधिकारलाई नेपालका सञ्चारमाध्यमका व्यवस्थापनले कुण्ठित गर्ने प्रयासलाई संस्थागत गर्न खोज्दा बेलाबेलामा प्रतिष्ठित भनिएका सञ्चारमाध्यमहरू विवाद र बद्नाम हुँदै आएका छन् ।

7) छलफल चलिरहेको बेला व्यवस्थापन पक्षले पहिले नै बोलाएर राखेका युवाहरूले एकजना मजदुर प्रतिनिधिलाई ‘जहिले पनि माओवादीकै माग पूरा गर्नुपर्ने, गरिन्न के गर्छौ गर‘ भन्दै हातपात गरेका थिए । हिमाल खबर पत्रिकाको व्यवस्थापनले वार्ता गर्न बोलाएका आफ्ना मजदुरहरूमाथि उल्टै गुन्डाहरू बोलाएर आक्रमण गरेको दाबी । ‘वार्ता गर्न बोलाएर मजदुरहरू त्यहाँ गएका थिए । तर, एक्कासि गुन्डाहरू लगाएर मजदुरहरूमाथि आक्रमण गरियो–’हिमाल मिडियाले वर्षौंदेखि काम गरिरहेका स्थायी कर्मचारीहरू विनाकारण निकाल्दा चुप लाग्ने दलहरूले मजदुरहरूको पक्षमा कुरा उठ्दा माओवादीले आक्रमण गर्‍यो भनेर आरोप लगाउनु कहाँको जायज कुरा हो ?

The mood here is becoming more representational of the mood in Nepal. Before the election the general population were willing to give them a try. But with less than a year passing, Nepal has gotten a pretty clear picture of what Maoist rule is going to be like. The fact is that the Maoist rule has been worse than anything we've seen before. The legal maoist entity YCL is involved in extortion and murder, the Maoist labor unions are involved in active infiltration of all industries. As a result industries are closing down and investments are being withdrawn and taken elsewhere. Businesswise this is the worst time in Nepal. Maoist family members are being filled into powerful positions. Instead of focusing on the good of the people, these maoists are only focussed on how to make thier rule last longest. Instead of focussing on the making of the constitution as they were supposed to, they are busy extending thier politics of fear and extortion.

The last straw was this incident where they have shown us democracy loving nepalis that democracy and freedom is not in their agenda. Their agenda is of control and creation of communist regime. This should have been clear from the start but thanks to many self appointed leaders within our community whose sole sense of success is to mislead the population by preaching hope. These same people are still trying to help the Maoists by preaching messages of hope again and again even now when things are crystal clear regarding the Maoist motives. They are the most dangerous wolves in sheeps clothings. Outside they claim to be democratic and optimistic but their deep rooted maoist beliefs will make them say anything to lie to the public and to keep their masters happy. They will undoubtedly claim that things can't change in Nepal within a year which is semi true but obviously they will fail to inform you the reality which is morning shows the day. If the maoist actions this year is any indication of what is coming, then I shudder to think about the well being of our fellow countrymen.

Their actions have been worse than any governments we had before. All Prachanda and baburams family in top positions. Forcing industries to hire maoists. Killing people and the responsible ones are scott free. Beating up and threatening the press. And above all the blood of over 15 thousand nepalis is still fresh in their tastebuds.

We, as optimistic human beings have given them more trust than they deserve. We have listened to wolves in sheeps clothings to make a very wrong decision in getting these maoists elected. We are gradually seeing the darkness that these maoists are taking us into. 10 hours of darkness everyday in he capital city and it's projected to be 16 every day in the near future, and these maoists are busy extending their own selfish motives and not doing anything for the betterment of the country. Scaring investors away and turning Nepal into stone ages where they can be the superior masters.

We have to act now while the army has not been totally infiltrated by the maoists. Once that happens then it's going to be a very long time till we see any light at the end of the tunnel.
